Not a snaffle. Leverage action makes it a curb.

This is a horribly designed bit that pinches and has no release. Best used if you hate your horse.

I used this a couple of times then put it away for a month or so. When Impulled it out is was rusted. Poor quality.

Well made fits perfect for my smaller horse. Easy to change out with the old one.

The chin strap attaches so high above the bit that it is awkward and ineffective. I’ve ridden since I was a child and I’ve literally never used a bit so awkwardly designed. I have a gelding that must be cryptorchid or proud cut. He thinks he is a stallion and as he ages, he becomes more unpredictable and unmanageable. I ride him on a loose rein, but at 59 years old, I want the extra security of definitive control when he bucks or bolts. I purchased this bit as a western alternative to the English Pelham. The chin strap position is so ineffectual that when I need to engage it, it rides so far up his jaw that it does nothing.

INVEST IN A BETTER BIT. THIS DOESNT SIT RIGHT IN MY HORSES MOUTH. NOT A GOOD PRODUCT AT ALL. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
