This square weaving kit brought back so many wonderful memories from my childhood making potholders for family and friends - and I was so excited to have the grandkids over to try it out! I used to make these loop crafts for hours with friends, and now I get to share that same joy with my grandkids. The brightly colored loops and sturdy frame immediately took me back — but this updated version is even better. The frame is solid and durable, a big upgrade from the flimsy ones I used years ago, and everything fits neatly in the included storage box, which is perfect for keeping things organized between craft sessions - and there are plenty of different colored loops. What I really appreciate is how this kit makes it easy for beginners — the step-by-step instructions and video tutorials are incredibly helpful. I was able to sit down with the girls and get them started in minutes. They loved making something useful for their moms - it was a perfect way to bond while giving them a taste of a craft I loved growing up.It’s also great to see that the materials are safe and skin-friendly, especially since kids will be handling them a lot. The fact that it’s eco-conscious is a bonus. If you're looking for a creative, nostalgic, and meaningful activity to do with the younger generation, this kit is a fantastic choice. It's a sweet way to connect, craft, and create memories together — just like I did when I was a kid!

This loom kit for kids offers a decent crafting project to keep little hands busy. It provides an introduction to weaving and can be a fun activity. However, the quality of the materials is noticeably cheap, and the loom itself has a tendency to come apart rather easily during use. This can lead to some frustration for young crafters. While the project itself has potential, the flimsiness of the loom and the low-quality parts detract from the overall experience. It's a decent activity, but be prepared for some moments of instability.

The QXHOL Weaving Loom Kit is a great choice to stimulate an young child’s interest in a craft. I have fond memories of making my first potholder. I was fascinated by the way the different colored loops could be overlapped and interwoven to make a pad and then tied off on the edge one-by-one.The kit comes with a plastic loom frame, packages of fabric loops in eight different colors, and a threading tool. All of these are contained within a transparent, lunch-box size container with a beaded handle and a cute butterfly latch. The instructions are not clear about how to “assemble” the loom frame. You must overlay the ends to make a corner, then squeeze them together. They will only overlay from one side. Do not try to insert the connections. The same goes for the corner covers. If you assemble them correctly, the frame will be sturdy. From there on, the process is straightforward. The operation of the loom frame, the loops, and the threading tool are illustrated by the instruction diagrams.Yes, the Kit is excellent for beginners. Are ages 4-6 too young? No. We let our 4-year-old niece participate with choosing the loop colors and placing the loops on the frame. When we finished, we handed her the resulting hotpad, letting her know it was hers to play with. Later, she watched her Daddy use it with a frying pan. She was happy with the whole experience and wanted to make another one!

So much nicer than I expected. I was surprised at the quality of all the little included items. A great gift for a child who's into crafts. I remember having a little loom like this as a child and it was just the frame and loops. I would've LOVED to have something like this! Very colorful and fun. Good for perhaps age 7 and up. Easy to use, but may require some help in the beginning.

This items comes in a cute box. Then you have to assemble the loom. There's also instructions too! But the print is kind of small though. The product does come with a lot of different colors to choose from you don't have to choose the colors stated in the instructions. But I will warn you if you're looking to actually use thing? Unless you're a kid learning how to cook then it's better served as a table cosy that acts a barrier with the hot dish and table.Pro(s): Great for kids to use/make. Good as a kid gift. Cute box kit. Comes with instructions for various things to make with it.Con(s): Only good use if you're a kid or have small hands.

I got this for my nieces and I have to be honest, I ended up keeping it for myself. I sat down with it to explore the kit and ended up making a pot holder in less than 10 minutes. Then I wanted to make another one. And another one. It was like my seven-year-old self awaked and took over. Next thing I know, I'm looking up how much a bag of 1000 bands cost and dreaming of what colors I'd like. Then the dream got bigger and I started researching larger looms and watching videos on how to make rugs. I've got it bad, bad I say.I gave my mom a pot holder and showed her the kit and she swore I had one as a child. Duh. And now I have one as an adult! The only thing is the pot holders come out half the size of the loom, which I had no memory of. But they still work, but more like a coaster than a pot holder. I did a couple different patterns, too, and it's like magic-- they really turn out like the patterns in the book, although you wouldn't expect it when you start laying out your loops.I think this would be fun for kids, but let's not kid ourselves-- it's fun for adults, too, Easy to use, good quality loops (I didn't have any break, or not be too small or too big), and it's a great value because kids are able to gift their creations.
