Please read if you haven’t ever used this kind of sifter, particularly if you sift into a smallish container or large measuring cup on a scale (it has a design flaw, imo). My favorite color is turquoise, so I’m gradually adding aqua items to my kitchen bc that’s second best. I gave my old sifter (the kind you squeeze with your hand) to my future DIL and expected I’d LOOOOOVE this one. I bake quite a lot and I measure by weight instead of cups. This lets me sift into my large measuring cup that sits on the scale, then I sift into the cup, watching the grams on the scale rather than how many cups are in it. I wish I would have thought to take a picture of the friggin’ mess I made yesterday when I used this for the first time. Sigh. My issue was this: the cup is the same width as the sifter, which would be no problem at all except the dang holes on the sides! Look at the picture. I’m not sure how most people sift, but with my setup, I cannot have tons of flour pouring through the holes on both sides. I needed to sift about 7 cups of flour and you can’t realistically pour more than 1 cup in at a time without having quite a bit come out the sides. It turned a formerly easy task into a hassle with a lot of cleanup after, so I’m going to return it and get the kind you squeeze to sift instead, because I looked and this crank kind ALL have that hole with no way to prevent spillage (which is why I’m still rating this 5 stars—it IS still beautiful and would work perfectly if I had a different setup going).

Fantastic. !! Holds cup of glory eafy to turn fifth great I’ll never go back to any other kind of sifter again!! Colour is really nice too. Best Sifter I’ve ever used!!!!

This is the best flour sifter I've ever had. The crank design is so much easier to use than the models that require squeezing a handle. The large bin holds a couple cups of flour, so when a 5- or 10-pound bag of flour has bugs in it, I can sift the whole bag quite quickly. Because of the large design, it is less useful for sifting one cup at a time, although if you put the cup in a container and don't mind some of the flour missing the cup, it is quite usable. Seems well-built and sturdy. Nice painted finish.

This flour sifter makes for a nice decoration on a kitchen shelf. It looks properly vintage, especially in teal. When it comes to usefulness, it's a mixed bag. The crank turns freely and helps the flour through the sieve, breaking up larger clumps. There is a gap between the sieve and the container where flour gets stuck. The crank goes through holes on both sides of the container. The holes are pretty large and open. If you reach the maximum 3 cup line, flour will pour out of the sides through those holes. One last thing I'd like to add is that the sieve is perhaps not fine enough. It lets through some small pieces that wouldn't get through a finer sieve. All in all I'd say it's probably better as a vintage-looking display piece rather than a reliable kitchen tool.

I needed a new sifter. Perfect color for my kitchen. I like the turn handle . Works easier than the other kinds where I squeeze the handle to sift.

This sifters perfect - it does exactly what I wanted it to. It's easy to use and does a great job. An added bonus is that it's my favorite color, too!
