I do snow removal during the winter. Even if it's -30, I have to be outside for hours at a time. I've tried every mitten, and glove you can think of, to try and stay warm. The really warm ones are thick and bulky, the comfortable ones just can't keep up with sub zero conditions. Synthetic materials fall apart, and leather gets wet and rots from ice melt. Wells Lamont has LITERALLY solved ALL these issues with this mitten. These are absolutely perfect for long, sub zero exposure. They are actually waterproof, and have great flexibility. They are the best mittens I have ever worn. I do recommend sizing up one size. But besides that, these are the greatest work mittens ever made... PERIOD!

I returned this product. The quality of the mittens was excellent. The only issue was that the instructions for measuring size and the size that I received was incorrect.Amazon was efficient as always and the product was returned without any problems.

The gloves are very comfy. I use them in temps that are 0 to 15 degrees. They are not warm enough for this weather unless you are very active. I tried them riding a fat bike at 20 degrees. Too cold. I used them at 20 degrees to install some heat tape on my roof. It wasn't physically strenuous, so my fingers got cold so i had to go inside. If i am walking my dog and can put my hands in my pockets, i would use them. If I am driving my car and it will warm up in 5 minutes, no problem. If its warmer than 20 degrees, you will probably be good. These do have individual fingers inside the mitten.

I bought the mittens for riding my motorcycle in colder weather. (Temps in the upper 30s and low 40s.) With gloves, my fingers would be super cold by the time I got to my destination. With the mittens, my hands stay nice and warm. The leather outer shell sheds the wind, the lining is comfortable and keeps your hands warm even at highway speeds! The only thing I would change is I think the cuff of the glove could be a little longer to make sure that it goes further up my forearm and stays over the coat sleeve.

Warm, comfortable, well made. Stitching looked as well done on the real thing as on the ad image. Kept my hands warm enough in subzero weather. I was concerned that I would sacrifice warmth because the liner is in glove form. It likely did, but it was tolerable and the glove helped with dexterity. I would buy again, but they look so durable, it seems unlikely.

We ordered an extra large pair of mittens. The thumbs were too short and for that matter the mittens were wide but not long enough for men's hands that aren't extra long. We tried ordering a pair of 2X but they sent us the same size we already had. So we have gloves we can't use.

While I prefer cloth mittens for warmth I don't feel safe wearing them while driving because they slip on the steering wheel. A coworker has these and recommended them to me for driving and I absolutely LOVE them. Frigid 4 degrees the other morning with the steering wheel not much warmer and my hands were wonderfully warm. The leather is soft so I wouldn't recommend them for heavy duty outdoor work (agreeing with a reviewer who said they didn't work for her husband for working outdoors) but I imagine they'd be great for shoveling snow. The cuffs fit up inside the cuffs of my jacket so no cold gaps there. I really, really like the grommets and carabiner/clip -- not only does it keep the gloves together I can clip them onto the strap of my purse when I go in stores so I don't lose them - they're a bit too bulky to fit in my zippered jacket pockets. My coworker has the brown ones and said the palms became stained pretty quickly so I got the black ones. All in all, WELL worth the money as I expect to get many years of use.

I bought these gloves because a friend of mine had them. As soon as i tried o their pair, I knew i was putting on quality mittens. Immediately, i went to Amazon and purchased a pair for myself. I have been using these outside in the Upstate New York snow and have been extremely satisfied with their performance. I love that the mittens have glove inserts - this is really what ,makes them so comfortable. The brown leather is just nice. Great mitten. I would definitely justify the $30 price tag.
