I saw a review that said they couldn't blow up the nest. It has a self sealing valve inside. So you have to blow REALLY hard - well not so hard your eyes will pop out. But harder than a normal balloon. It works, just give a good old hearty heave from the bottom of your lungs. I've bought a few different brands of this type of deterrent and this is by far the best quality. Hopefully it works to chase out the wasps that are currently beginning a nest high up on my two story roof peak.

These are great! They are easy to inflate and don’t require a straw to do so or a plug to keep the air inside. They stay inflated with built-in 1 way valve and the latex material will survive all kinds of weather, unlike the paper kind that can’t get wet. They totally work too! It turns out I got these a little late, because some wasps had started building a nest…the wasps actually abandoned their nest once I put this fake hive out. I thought for sure I would have to spray, but this hive saved me from having to do that. Spraying chemicals is kind of a last resort because I don’t want to deter or potentially harm pets, birds or honeybees. My only complaint is the twine included to hang the hive from. It’s not really a complaint as much as a preference not to use that twine. It will degrade and drop the hive, maybe I could get 1 spring/summer from the twine. I prefer fishing line or a metal S-hook which will last and last.

Unsure if these work. They have been up 2 weeks and we still have wasps. This looks like a hornets nest more than wasp nest… will see
