We’re a family-owned business run by Maggie, Richard and Jayne Abdy with pewter-smithing in the blood. Jayne is our lead creative, she trained in metalwork design here in the City of Sheffield. She follows in the footsteps of skilled pewter craftsman, Arthur Richard Wentworth, who founded Wentworth Pewter in 1949.

Pewter possesses a unique combination of qualities. It retains its sheen, is hardwearing and is incredibly flexible to work with, making it the ideal material for developing and crafting new designs. It’s therefore no surprise that pewter has been in continuous use since the Bronze Age and is one of the world’s oldest manufacturing industries.

Our Alloy is regularly tested and is food and drink safe.
It does not contain any Lead.
Pewter is an alloy of tin, copper and antimony.

Cleaning
Your pewter gift will retain its lustrous finish with the minimum of care:
If it has become dull, simply clean with a metal polish before you wash it. Always polish in straight lines for the best results. Wash it by hand in hot soapy water and dry it with a soft cloth
We do not recommend using a dishwasher as this can damage the metal.

I was initially shipped the wrong item. I communicated with the seller through Amazon and they quickly responded and corrected the mistake in a few days. This is a custom-engraved mug so I was pleasantly surprised when the right item arrived. It was exactly what I wanted. The seller provides great products and I am very happy with the mug I ordered. Lovely engraving and stylish shape. Only down side was some black greasy contaminate on places. This did clean off with plenty of rubbing but if was being sent as a present direct would not be ideal.

Ordered this pewter tankard yesterday for my nephews Christening. It arrived this morning and I am absolutely delighted with it. A beautiful gift and a special keepsake. The engraving is beautiful. Thankyou so much, I would defiantly recommend - fantastic delivery and gorgeous tankard.
