Installed one of these carrier bearings on my RWD 2006 Tundra in 2017 and it needs to be replaced after 7.5 years. Not bad for the price I suppose but I hoped it would last longer. The original OEM bearing lasted 11 years. The failure was that the rubber deteriorated.

After one drive this what my result was faulty. Thought I was getting a great deal. Guess the saying is right, "You get what you pay for." Had to buy the part again

Bought for a 2004 tundra 2wd. The bearing itself is not sealed. There are two seals on the pressed on metal pieces. On my truck these seals were too tight and caused the bearing to grab onto the yoke and spin the bearing in the rubber mount. It would squeal and got hot.Ended up reusing my old bearing that was sealed, pressed on the two metal flares, and used the new rubber mount.

This bearings fits the 2 wheel drive 2006 Toyota Tundra XSP double cab perfectly.I replaced my center-support bearing about 9 months ago, but bought it from my local parts store. I checked with three parts stores nearby and they all said that thier compuers only showed one bearing for my truck in thier system so I bought one, but after I had brought it home and destroyed the old bearing by pulling it off the driveshaft, I noticed that the new one from the local store had a different dust cover on it. When I installed it, the dust cover slightly rubbed on the drive shaft while spinning. This caused a sqeek noise at first, but quickly went away. Apparently the slight rub, even though it had gone silent, continued to generate a lot of heat because the rubber mount eventually melted, and I had to replace it again. The original bearing had a dust cover that flared outward from the bearing, having an outwardly flared cone shape, The picture of this one looked like it had the correct dust cover, so I figured I would give it a try. After installing it last weekend, it fit perfectly, just like the OEM. I have driven it for a week now. There has been no noise, vibration, or heat after driving. I am very happy with this part. I have since been told that the one with the flared dust cover like this one is for the 2WD trucks. The other dust cover, that looks like a cylinder with an inwardly bent lip, is for 4WD only. The rubber inside of this bearing seems a lot stiffer than the 4WD bearing that I got from the parts store also, and seems to support the shaft better.
