We recently remodelled our kitchen to include a new quartz counter top and stainless steel sink. Naturally, we wanted some high quality faucets and related equipment to match. Plumbing code in WA requires an above-the-sink air-gap for your dishwasher, so we wanted to find something of quality equal to the satin nickel faucet hardware we had, and found this on Amazon, sold by Plumbing [...]. It was advertised as a "Satin Nickel Kitchen Soap/Sponge Tray & Air Gap Combo." Yes, it was a little pricey at $35 with an additional $8 shipping, but I accept that quality is not cheap. So the item arrives -- and it's 100% plastic, with a finish that is, I guess, an imitation of satin nickel. This item is not something you'd want on your counter for appearance, or for use. It is flimsy. I doubt it would last a week. So I asked for a Return Authorization and get a call informing me that there is a 20% restocking fee. I object, based on the misrepresentation of the product. I am then told that the caller would "ask for supervisory permission to waive the fee." So I send the product back (another $7.50) and wait. Two weeks later I am informed that I will receive a refund minus a restocking fee of 20%. So now I'm out $22.50, but I hope a little wiser. And I hope, regarding this seller, your are too.
