Because I have a family member living in the house who is short, I had to lower the product for reach purposes. I am very tall, and when I walk into the area to turn on the light the ball is hitting me in my face. Therefore I can't use this product.

Had trouble reaching into the shade area of the lamp to turn it on. Saw this and it turned out to be the perfect solution. The chain is easy to find, is weighted so that makes it easy to grasp. I use this lamp every day and the chain has be a blessing.

Bought these for my fan over the dining room table. They are just long enough that I can reach without having to stand on the furniture now. They are very heavy for the size, and are nice, sturdy solid metal. They look better on my fan than the ones the manufacturer provided. 10/10 do recommend.

Works perfectly for extending the chain from a ceiling fan light kit. I came back and purchased a second one for the ceiling fan speed control.
