I was suffering from quite marked chafing at the neck when swimming long distances in my wetsuit, which Vaseline only partially prevented; so I though this protector was worth a try. I was concerned that wearing a band around my neck might feel like being choked, but I was pleasantly surprised that I once in the water I was not even aware I was wearing it and it solved the chafing issue entirely. I felt it was expensive, but turned out to be worth it for me.

Received what looks like used item: dusty, dried up and maybe chewed by a pet? I’m so desperate for relief from chafing while swimming I would have kept the neck guard anyway except that it’s much too large. Can’t figure out how to order a small. None of the listings for this item show the size. Frustrating.

I had an area of my wetsuit that kept rubbing on my neck. It first looked like a Vicky, then blistered and finally ended up looking like an abrasion - scab and all. I purchased this to cover the spot so it didn’t happen again. It didn’t, at least not in THAT spot. It moved to above the neck protector. So it really didn’t matter. I would’ve been better off putting athletic tape over the area that rubbed.

Works just like it is supposed to. Easy to get on, doesn't interfere with suit fit, and stopped all chafing. I was having some pretty bad discomfort, too - had to quit a swim early when the skin broke open and it hurt too much. This totally fixed the problem. I'm a small female, and it only comes in one size but it fit me perfectly.

The one I bought was a bit big but I was lucky to be able to switch with a fellow swimmer for the size down which is perfect! They are only a ring of rubber but they make you feel a little warmer in the cold water - like a turtleneck sweater, ;-)
