I thought I was strong enough but found you need real strength to use it if your lawn has overgrown sidewalks for a year. I had about 50’ to do and it took me over an hour. I’m 74 and would not recommend it to anybody my age.

No matter how tight you twist the handle together it will still become wobbly and loose. The handle is not well made at all. I tried to use this tool for edging around my sidewalks but did not do the job. The tool actually made the work harder. Don’t waste your money.

Its very hard to use if you live in Texas and are trying to edge out a sidewalk that hasn't been edged since last summer. I am in great shape, but not a spring chicken.This is great for keeping the sidewalk and driveway edge under control after it has all cleaned out by a yard man.I was going to order an electric edger, but the negative reviews were actually quite large that the unit broke down after 3 or 4 uses. So that would be next year from now. I didn't want another piece of China junk that I could use two or three times and then it breaks. So I bought this. Only good for maintaining, not actually cutting a path to civilization.

Not as easy to use as I had expected. Takes some arm strength to actually cut into the grass and edge it. Good value for your money though.

I'm shocked! I didn't think this would work for me. It's fantastic!! It was easy to assemble. I didn't need all of the extensions because I'm not that tall. It is REALLY easy to use! It cuts down into the grass while rolling on the other side with very little effort. I jumped on this because I am horrible with an edger. So glad I did!!!

This lawn edger provides a clean edge, exactly as you'd hope. It's far more precise than a string trimmer, which is what I was hoping for. It is easy to use: put the blade in the groove between your grass and concrete, and push. It is easy to assemble: the segments just thread together.That IS a downside. I cranked the segments as tight as I can - I'm not an abnormally strong person, but I'm also not abnormally weak. The assembly felt secure until about 10' into my edging job (around 100' in total) where I felt the segments loosening in my hands. I retightened, got through another 10' or so, and had to retighten. This was not ideal.I'm considering using teflon tape to try to fix the issue, but since that's A) not included and B) shouldn't be necessary, I'm not going to report back on it. As it is, the tool performs it's task, it's just not very sturdy.

This is an excellent tool for trimming lawn edges.I’ve used every sort of tool imaginable to edge my lawns and this beats them all.Takes all the effort out.It is sturdy and well built and just what I needed.
