Decided I should keep a spare on hand for my MTB, so I ordered a Wheels hanger to replace my factory one and carry the original as a spare. Wheels are the best hangers in the market from what I can tell, and made in the USA just about 90 minutes drive from where I live.Installation was about 10 minutes and my bike shifts perfectly with no drama.

It was a good fit, but, it's Aluminum, and breaks to protect the rest of the Drivetrain if something gets caught in the Chain or something. Can leave you stranded, however and jury rigging becomes a necessity. I have a different Bike, now. Seemed to last a few years tops .

The original derailleur hanger broke after serving 8 years of use including falling down on the wrong spot which might have caused bending it to the limit over time. It broke on a most inconvenient time for my 10 year old kid on an evening when it started raining - like most of the transportation malfunctions would do as if it finds the ultimate moment. The original part from the weight of it feels like some aluminum alloy. The Wheels Mfg replacement part feels like a carbon steel, and is definitely weightier and looks meaner with the dark coating and precision cut. I can see that this would out live the bike itself (which might not be good for the bike as the best reviewer for this product pointed out).Anyway, replacement steps were pretty straightforward, and the part fits like it is melting into the place. I think every bike with derailleur should have this part replaced every 4 years. In my case, my kid started off from her friends house at dusk, and we anticipated her to arrive home in 15 min. After 25 min we started searching driving around since it started raining. There are multiple passageway among many are not accessible by the car. We started panicking at 40 min mark and found her dragging the bike in the rain. She was apologizing for making us worry and when it should be myself apologizing for not taking care of her bike. All fixed now and good as new.

Product is exactly as described and feels better quality vs original. It fits the rockhopper 2019/20 model. Purchased 2 after a little confrontation with a tree, makes sense to keep one in the tool box as a spare for any future tumbles.

I bought this as a spare for my 2016 Specialized Fatboy. Seems like it is well-built and will fit. I wont know until my current one breaks and I replace it with this one how well it works. I am confident it will be just fine.

Terrific replacement for a bent factory hanger. Fits perfectly, works as expected, and a great price.

Worked great for me. Replaced a broken hanger. Just wanted to point out that some reviews mention how the OEMs are just cheap castings. First, they might be forged. It can be hard to tell just by looking sometimes. It might be an extrusion. Stress fracture grain structure can sometimes look like casting grain structure. All they specify is CNC machined, which you can do to all three. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Second, the OEM part might have a specifically designed weak point on purpose. Engineers do that so the failure mode can be controlled. Like ski boots breaking your leg instead of your ankle, the damage is directed somewhere else that is easier to fix.Whichever way they make it, this product fit fine, does the job it needs to, and got me back out on the trails. So I'm a happy customer. I'll be less of a happy customer if this turns out to break the frame instead next time. But the broken one I removed had "Wheels Mfg" etched on it, so I won't worry about it.

Well machined product, I was impressed. Fits well in place of factory hanger and it is cheaper too. The Specialized factory replacement derailleur hanger is more expensive but is just simple cast aluminum. The only concern I have is that this product may not shear as easily as the factory hanger because of its machined construction. This could possibly make it easier to damage your derailleur, but the increased durability could be seen as a good thing. Again, that is speculation, it could very well be designed to shear in a crash, protecting your derailleur.
