I was so thrilled to find this part available here and as an add-on so I could have it delivered fast. This part in the Kenmore dishwasher in my house somehow broke, although I can't imagine how. It's a thick plastic piece and not something that should break easily, but somehow ended up snapping right in half. So the section of the dishwasher that spins in the bottom detached and the whole appliance was put completely out of commission.I found a number embossed on the side of the broken plastic part and searched online for it, which brought me right to this. Even though it's listed as a Whirlpool part, it was an exact fit for my Kenmore dishwasher. For under five bucks my dishwasher was working again. A perfect fit!

I snapped off my old part, and ordered this replacement right away. It was a perfect replacement for my old broken part and seems to be holding up nicely. These things are plastic so don't over tighten them... That's what led to this in the first place. While it arrived soon, I wish I could have picked it up from the shipping facility it originated from...only a couple miles away.

Did its job in my dishwasher when the original one broke. This is the Whirlpool branded part. You may need some needle-nose pliers to get the broken old one out, but the new one requires no tools to put in.

There's not too much to say about this part. The retainer nut broke on our Kenmore dishwasher, and this one replaced the broken one with no problems. Just make sure you don't tighten too hard when you put the new one in or you'll be buying another one!Tip: If you've broken the nut off by over tightening, the plastic threads from the nut will likely be stuck inside the hub. To remove that broken piece, take a pair of needle nose pliers, put the tips inside the lumen of the broken piece and open the pliers to exert force outward on the threads. While holding the pliers open, begin to turn the pliers counter clockwise. Keep twisting and the threads should screw right out, making room for your new retainer nut. Good luck!
