This review is for Whiskey Glass Water Pipette with Gift Box, Fashion Glass Pipette Water Dropper for Diluting Whiskey, Elegant Gift for Bourbon, Gin, and Rum Enthusiasts and Connoisseurs, Compact and PortableThis is a great value for the price - a simple item but these droppers can command a pretty high price.I was introduced to this style of dropper by a friend that is a true connoisseur of Scotch whiskeys. He was from Scotland and wow, he has forgotten more about Scotch whiskey than I will ever be able to learn. But one thing I didn't forget - most whiskeys need a little bit of water to open up and expose their true selves. Some people do this with ice (the progression of an old fashioned from the early bite to a perfect blend to watery at the end is a good example). But if you drink your whiskey neat, you need one of these droppers for sure.We would sit down and have 3 or 4 mostly single malts but sometimes blended scotch whiskeys neat and he'd pull out his dropper. He knew, based on the proof, brand, blend, history, whatever that it would take 8 or 10 or 13 drops of water to achieve the taste that he considered to be perfection. And even I could taste it - when he added that last drop or two, it was almost a magical transformation of the taste from something a bit harsh or with a strong bite to a smooth flavor that often had carmel or other prominent notes.It's almost a guarantee that if you have one of these and take the time, you will enjoy your whiskey much more like it was meant to be enjoyed.

Nice little water dropper/pipette dew-hickey. Comes in a nice little velvet-lined gift box, making it a great gift for the scotch aficionado in your life. It is just a tad smaller than I was expecting from the pictures. About 5.25" long. But, it is right-sized for the job, so I'm not complaining. At 9.99, it's probably priced right, as this is a bit of a specialty item.In the past, I've either just tried to pour tiny amounts of water or, when I can locate it, use an eyedropper that I'd received at a scotch tasting event. But, this just feels a bit more sophisticated. And, I like the amount of control you get. Just dip it into a glass of water, plug the hole with your finger, and then remove your finger to release a finely controlled amount of water into the adult beverage of your choice. Easy-peasy and all fancy pants.It's not as fragile as it looks, but seeing as how we have a younger child about the house, I probably won't be leaving this out where curious fingers can get to it.Anyway, being the kind of person that likes there to be a bit of a process and ceremony to everything, I'm really happy I picked this up. Recommended.
