Bought this for my MIL since she always forgot the kettle was on and would let the water boil until there was none left in the kettle. We were afraid she might cause a for so got this for her because of the whistle. It works very well. It's light weight and whistles very loud when the water boils. I highly recommend!

Decided to try this out finally. Added water and turned the stove to med high. I eventually heard the water boiling but it never whistled. Instead water came out from the whistle hole. Did I add too much water?
