This thing is HEAVY, which means it's heavy-duty. Super easy to assemble, and just as easy to hang my chair from. The base is really sturdy, so I'm sure even if the neighborhood kids go wild, they won't tip it over (note, please don't let the neighborhood kids go wild on your hanging chair). It came well-wrapped to protect it from damage, so it showed up looking great, too.

This was easy to assemble and to set my hammock swing on it. Everything you need to assemble the stand comes in the package.This was packaged well! Be prepared to unwrap all the the bar pieces.I was able to put this together by myself, so you don't have to wait for someone else.

This is well made and is heavy. I have never received anything wrapped so well. I took a close up picture of the wrapping. They wrap each piece individually with a thick material. Kind of feels like foam/leather if that makes sense. LOL. Then each piece is Saran wrapped. It took me longer to unwrap it than it did to put it together. I comes with instructions (sorry I forgot to take a picture of them). There’s only 7 screws, a plug and spring hook. Easy to put together. I was able to do it by myself. It’s very sturdy. I am going to get so much use out of it on our deck.

I fought with the pieces to get them together while also adding the bolts, but to be fair, there were 2 bolts to hold the "C" together and 4 bolts (2 on each half of the "C") to hold the upright to the base. The upper half of the vertical piece was easy to add and then place the metal piece through the hole, add the heavy-duty spring and...there was the problem. My hanging chair has a horizontal bar with a hanger section - the hanging loop has an internal metal piece for strength and stability but does not fit in the bottom hook of the spring on this base! Meaning I had to purchase a heavy-duty chain and carabiner between this base and the chair. Just be aware of this when you get this base. It IS extremely heavy-duty and will hold some serious weight. Also, when putting this together, it might be helpful to have another pair of hands to hold the pieces steady while bolting it together. If you want a sturdy stand for your hanging chair, this is it!
