Overall, I am happy with these jars. As other reviews have mentioned, the glass they are made with is a bit questionable. I don't know for sure that they are not appropriate for canning, but my personal take is that they are not. Since others have said the same, I won't be canning with these jars. However, I have plenty of other uses for them, so they will not just sit on a shelf collecting dust. Canning or not, these jars are a worthwhile purchase for the many possible things they are great for. Any other type of refrigerator storage, for example. Also, they do make pretty decent drinking glasses. These would be perfect for arts and crafts organization, bathroom organization (e.g. qtips, cotton balls, soaps, handmade creams and ointments, razors, combs, toothbrushes, and so much more. I am currently using one for my dogs little treats, and another one for my son's toothbrush, dental floss, toothpaste, and all of his oral hygiene items. It keeps him from having them scattered all over the counter, and it's much more hygenic. Additionally, I make my own body lotions, and I've found that these jars are perfect for them. At least for myself, at home, they are. Idk if they would be efficient for selling a product or not. I'm sure it's easy enough to find out.I will say that the lids and seals appear to work nicely. Additionally, you get a few bonus materials like labels for your jars. This is a nice touch, which I appreciate. Overall, I would have to recommend them to others. They are just too handy not to.

This is not tempered glass. The material condition of the glass is much too fragile for any high heat, and cooking grade application. This product did not survive shipment. 2 out of 6 bottles survived, and the glass shards were so fine, it appears the material condition of the glass is the quality of a movie set prop, not a quality food grade product. This is my honest observation of this product. Amazon was great in making things right with my purchase. I will be ordering again from Amazon, but not from this manufacturer/company. These are good for taking snacks and pieces of fruit to work in the lunch-bag. Sliced oranges or apple slices are kept clean and look appetizing.

The CARBLIN Wide Mouth Mason Jars 24 oz., 6 Pack Glass Canning Jars with Airtight Lids is a functional and versatile set of glass canning jars with lids which includes two different sets of labels and a jar cleaning brush. The wide mouth mason jars are made of heavy glass that is durable and satisfactory for many uses other than canning such as dry food storage; refrigerator food storage; and liquid storage, because the lids are leak resistant. Because the jars have a wide mouth, they are easy to fill and empty and the 24 oz. size is generous enough for many food items. Concerning the value for the money of these jars, (1) these jars are much less expensive than other glass food storage options; (2) the lids are readily replaceable and interchangeable with other brands; therefore the glass jars may be used longer if the lids can be replaced; (3) the jars can be used to store many other items other than food, such as small office supplies; craft supplies; workshop nails, screws, etc. My favorite thing about these jars is definitely the value for the money of this set of jars. I would certainly recommend this purchase.

I love these jars, but in spite of the seemingly perfect packaging, one of them arrived cracked. It isn't all the way through the wall of the jar, so I set it aside to use on for dry thing - no liquids. Other than that - I like them a lot!
