Works well for backpacks that don't already have extra pockets and storage, and also has the bonus of being able to lift the whole thing out to dig through more with more visibility if you can't find something. It also works great as a standalone storage bag that you can keep in your car or hanging in the closet, making it a versatile storage solution. I got the larger size because I intend to use it for one of the latter uses, keeping in my car to hold items when I'm on the go but don't want to just pile everything on the passenger seat.

My wife’s backpack was always a bit of a black hole. She’d be digging around for ages trying to find anything. So, I picked up this Wider Rugged Backpack Organizer Insert, the large gray one, hoping it would bring some sanity to the situation. And you know what? It actually did the trick.Right out of the package, the nylon material felt pretty sturdy, not flimsy like some of these organizers can be. The padding is a nice touch too, gives a bit of protection for whatever she's got in there. What really impressed me, and her, was the sheer number of pockets – nineteen of them. It sounds like a lot, but they’re all different sizes, so there’s a spot for just about everything, from her pens and phone to her tablet and water bottle. The handle on top is surprisingly useful for pulling the whole thing out of the backpack in one go.If I had to pick at anything, maybe the gray is a little plain, but it’s going inside a backpack, so who really cares about the color? The main thing is it works.This thing gets a solid 5 stars from me because it does exactly what it's supposed to do, and it does it well. My wife actually knows where her stuff is now, which means less frustration for her and less waiting around for me while she searches for her keys. The backpack went from a jumbled mess to neatly organized. It’s made her daily routine a bit smoother, and for that, it’s worth every bit of a top rating. It's a well-made, practical piece of gear.

I have a Patagonia 25L Black Hole backpack, and there are not nearly enough pockets for all the things you may need when out and about. I bought this, it’s a tight fit, but I love it already! Very sturdy, can pull it out completely and it will stand up by itself, has lots of places to put things!

This doesn’t fit in our bag as intended, but overall it is a nice insert. The concept is great and the color is beautiful. The zippers are solid and stitching is well done. It has many pockets, dividers, and a handle. I think the material could improve with some stretch but otherwise it’s very well made. I just wish it fit better!

I got this backpack organizer for my 9L tactical backpack that I use as a purse. I wanted to keep things in their places better and know where things were in my purse at all times. This organizer fits inside that backpack quite well, but it is a snug fit. That doesn’t bother me because I don’t have much need to add anything else, I utilize the outside pockets of the backpack for that. There are plenty of pockets in this organizer which I appreciate, and it’s great quality. I keep my essential documents in the back slot. There’s some front slots that are easy to get to that I keep my lip products. The side pockets are looser so I keep additional keys in there (mailbox, etc). The organizer is pretty stiff, I’m hoping over time it will become slightly less stiff to be easier to get into but I also like that it’s stiff because it makes sure it stays standing up inside the backpack so it’s a win/lose. Overall I really enjoy this, stiffness aside, it was a mini backpack essential that I’m glad I have now. I use purse organizers too, so it makes sense that I would enjoy a mini backpack one as well.

I have a different style bag organizer that I love. I admit that the bar is set pretty high because of that. After using this for a month now, I can say this isn’t a bad option.I ordered the large and I think, for the backpack I use for work, the smaller one may have been better. I can hold a lot in this organizer. Nothing falls down to the bottom of my bag anymore.It says there are 19 pockets but I haven’t found that. I am guess there are a few they count that I’m missing.It does hold all of those loose items that typically need another case or are too small to easily find. My notebook, chargers and pens finally have their own spot.The padded nylon feels rugged and protective. The absolute best feature is the handle on top; pulling the whole organized setup out to switch bags takes seconds.It's well-made and highly functional. Just double-check dimensions if you have a very small pack.
