About this item

  • COMPATIBILITY NOTICE: This product will work with most standard equipment. However, compatibility with specialized or latest models is not guaranteed. Please check the compatibility of your router before purchasing. For assistance, contact us.
  • SPEED SPECIFICATIONS: The theoretical maximum speed of this product is 300 Mbps Actual performance may vary depending on network conditions, router performance, distance between the extender and router, and physical obstructions such as walls or furniture.
  • INDOOR USE GUIDE: This WiFi extender is intended for indoor use only. For best signal extension, place it within 15 feet (approximately 4.5 meters) of your router. Please note that this is a single-band extender and is only compatible with 2.4GHz networks, not 5GHz networks.
  • SETUP NOTE: During the setup process, please make sure you enter the correct WiFi password to prevent connection problems. After the configuration is complete, the network name of the extender will be displayed as “Router Name - Plus” (e.g., “Home Network - Plus”).
  • PERFORMANCE NOTES: This product extends WiFi coverage, not network speed. Since it shares bandwidth with the main router, its internet speed is usually slower. For faster internet speeds, consider upgrading your router or network plan!

So far, so good! I have had years of poor Wifi Calling experience but put off dealing with it until my alarm system malfunctioned from a weak signal. We had bought a booster from a tech years ago and in my recent search saw that the booster we bought for $50 was appropriate for a 1500 square foot home. Our house is 2200, so no wonder it didn't work. This one has helped improve my wifi strength and only once have I had trouble with a call. I'm hoping this is the answer.

Nice looking but it was not easy to connect. It took at least 3X trying before connecting. I was frustrated enough to send it back

Could not connect to current WIFI.When it was plugged in, it put a signal out that made my system looked like it was being hacked.

Good for what does I guess. I didn't read through the whole description before purchase so It's my bad. It only goes to 2.4g if you have high speed internet and want to expand it, it will only give like 35Mbps out of 1gig speed. I needed faster.

SummaryDid not work for me. Took 8 or 9 times to get it to run setup even though devices were in same room. Ended up having to be only 4’ apart to get it to work, far below the 20’ in instructions. Then once it did connect, it did not improve signal where needed. Returned.DetailsPlease forgive the length of review, but former Engineer/Accountant, so I’m always trying to solve problems and hope I can help others.I live in a brick ranch style home built in 1980s that has plaster skimmed drywall. Important part of that is a lot of walls and the plaster kills signals. I work from home so signal & speed are very important. I have the modem/wifi hub in Family room (center of house, on back side of centerline). Strong signal there and adjoining rooms, but my office is in a bedroom at the end of the hallway (front left corner of house) about 30’ away.Signal goes from -42 in family room where hub is located to varying between -85 to -92 in my office with just the wifi hub. Speed drops as well correspondingly from avg of 530Mbps in fam room to avg of 65Mbps in the office. Given the angles from hub to office, signal must go through at least 4 roughly perpendicular BR & closet walls + both sides of the hallway at a about a 15 degree angle, making the 1/2” thick drywall A LOT thicker.Idea with this device was to install it in another room in back left corner of the house to make a trangle to avoid the shallow angle of attack in the hall. So set up wifi extender and made sure I was on the “plus” network to test again. Best this device could do was -82 & 65Mbps. Switched back & forth between base & extended networks to make sure results were valid. So negligible signal gain & same speed. Return!!I used to run a 6 node Mesh to cover whole house, but had 2 nodes fail and a 3rd was becoming intermittant after 3 yrs, so start all over. Friend that is a Network Engineer w/30 yrs experience recommended that we scale back and went just with main hub + an access point w/wired connection to hub in wife’s office in Room Over Garage (right front of house 40 feet from hub and on a different floor). Have ordered a TP Link AC1200 that I plan on running in access point mode in same location as this extender for my end of the house and our pool area behind back left corner of house.

Absolute crap! What should have been a very simple process because the instructions are seemingly well written and illustrated, turned into a disaster of pages that wouldn’t load, buttons that wouldn’t click, in addition to pages popping up that weren’t even in the instructions. In the end, after struggling for an hour, I got it connected only for it to fail to reach the Internet. Instructions say to disable security mode on the router, but absolutely not will I run a router without security. Don’t waste your time or your money on this product. Also page description says 10,000 ft.² but neither the box nor the instructions say anything about range.
