Caution: this device works only on a 2.5 G system not 5 G like mine. I didn't know that until after I received the extender and couldn't get it to work with my wifi system. I went back to the website where I saw it and still didn't see that disclosure until I clicked on every link in the Page's description and, there it was in an obscure location on a connecting page. I guess that means it's on me because I didn't read every last bit of description about the extender. My question is what Internet supplier still uses 2.5 G? The company that we use made a huge deal a few years ago about switching from 4G to 5G.

It's working well. Easy set up and makes my WiFi speeds a lot faster in my room.

My cameras take forever to load live view and is unreliable when connected to the extender.Normally, my up and down are in the 260 - 350 mbps range. The bandwidth drops severely when this is connected and the range is between 42 - 75 mbps! The existing reviews for this seller are for a different product and not the extender so the star rating is misleading.I do NOT recommend this extender.

This is for those times when you don't have a single Ethernet patch cable long enough for the job, but you have 2 that overall would do the job. Just plug the both into this RJ45 coupler and bingo, a longer patch cable.

I needed this couple use this to bridge a slim cable to a Cat6 cable due to my access point having such a slim space behind it to route the cable to its internal port. Bad planning on my part! This coupler sits in my attic attached to the thicker portion of cable and joins the slimmer one through the ceiling and into the back of my Wall Mounter AP. Overall I am delighted with this coupler. If it is still available and you need one, I recommend this one.

This Jancane RJ45 Coupler provides a simple way to connect two Ethernet cables together, to make one long cable. It doesn't use power, doesn't reduce data rate, you don't need to screw it to a wall or anything.USINGApart from the obvious - making a longer cable from two short cables - I have used RJ45 couplers like this to:* Make transitions between cable types. For example: to swap from brown to white cable to suit the decor* Provide a simple make-and-break connection. For example: to run a cable though an open window during the day, that I can easily "break" at night, to shut the windowBEST BITS+ Quick and easy, just plug your RJ45 cables in+ Small and unobtrusive+ Doesn't need power+ CAT 7 - so you can use CAT 7 cables for very high data speeds and reduced interferenceWORST BITS - nothing really- A bit expensive when bought singly- No LED indicators; might be useful when fault-finding- You are very unlikely to have or need CAT 7 cables in a domestic situation- It's black; white would probably look nicer in a domestic situation- No fixing points; some little loops/lugs might be useful to secure it in placeCONCLUSIONSimple and effective. If you use Ethernet cables, you want a few of these in your toolbox - you never know when you'll need one. Five stars

Very handy RJ45 female/female coupler. Worked fine when I tried it with two CAT5e cables. No issues so far. Small and solid.

Living in a two-story house with thick walls, I struggled to get a decent WiFi signal in certain areas, particularly in the bedrooms and my home office. Since installing this WiFi extender, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in coverage and speed throughout the entire house.Setting it up was a breeze. The one-tap setup feature was incredibly user-friendly, and I had it connected to my network in just a few minutes. The instructions were clear and straightforward, which made the whole process hassle-free. I also appreciate the Ethernet port option; I’ve connected my smart TV to it, and streaming is now seamless with no buffering. The coverage is impressive, extending well beyond the advertised 5000 sq. ft. I can now use my devices in the backyard without any drop in signal quality. It can support multiple devices simultaneously, which is fantastic for my family since we all use the internet for different activities, from streaming movies to online gaming.I also love that it’s compatible with Alexa, making it easy to manage my home network using voice commands. It's a nice touch that adds to the convenience, especially when I have my hands full.If I had to mention any downsides, it would be that the design is a bit bulkier than some other extenders I’ve used. However, that hasn’t affected its performance in any way, and I consider that a small trade-off for such an effective product.Overall, this product has exceeded my expectations, providing reliable and robust WiFi coverage throughout my home. I highly recommend it to anyone struggling with WiFi dead zones or looking to enhance their internet experience!
