I support Made in USA tools and have quite a few Williams tools both old and new. It is with heavy heart that I must inform you these wrenches have surface scratches in the chrome. Not a lot but I can feel them digging into my skin, as if an impact with a hard / sharp tool raised a burr. These spots are on both heads of the wrench and in the length of the grip. I would guess these have been stored in bulk or transported improperly - I purchased a single wrench to fill a missing size in my collection so it wasn't just the shipping to my door that caused these. Also, there are similar sharp, raised edges on the hard corners, like on the inside and outside if the heads, but also in the transition (stamped area) to the open end. I would blame storage/transportation but these are so consistent I believe there was inadequate deburring / polishing of corners before chrome plating. I wouldn't pay top dollar to the distributor if you can run your hands over a set in person somewhere else and confirm these issues are resolved. Anyone got a set from another source with the same issues (suggesting quality control is the cause)?

Just the overall precision of Williams tools is amazing, I've been a licensed professional auto tech for 35 years now so I've held a LOT of steel in my arthritic , busted up hands, I have to say these wrenches feel amazing. Beautiful chrome finish, the shank is comfortable and easy to hold and they are, strangely enough, the size that is stamped on the wrench...go figure!!Buy one, you'll understand after that....

This is a heavy serious long wrench. Easily as good as Snap on. Excellent finish and quality. Made in USA.

The Williams brand has been an enigma in recent years. I have purchased a few of their overseas-sourced products (gasket scraper, sockets, flex-head ratcheting wrench) and have not been impressed by the finish and overall quality. In contrast, however, I could reasonably make the case that these American-made Williams combination wrenches are the best in today’s market, and I say this from experience with all the major brands including the Snap-on parent. In the larger sizes, to be sure, they look a little clunky compared to the classically beautiful lines of the Snap-on, but it is this very bulk and width that makes them so satisfying and comfortable to use. The thick, nicely rounded shafts allow incredible force to be applied without the edges biting into one’s hands as on many less thoughtfully designed wrenches. From loosening an 8mm brake bleed screw to rotating a 21 mm crankshaft bolt, I always enjoy using these tools. Good value for the dollar, as well.

These are excellent well made tools. Longer than most in their respective sizes. USA made. This is my favorite wrench brand.PS: I’ve never broken a wrench or socket in my life. I don’t push them beyond their limits.

I bought this wrench to replace the 15mm SK wrench that I damaged doing something that I shouldn’t have. In my opinion, the Williams Super Combo is better than the SK high polish wrenches in every way, unless you need a short wrench. Very nice machining, plating, and finish. I would prefer to have complete sets of the Williams Super Combos than the SKs that I have been using for 30 years.

And I do mean heavy. Where my wrenches in my home shop are these modern Supercombos, I have a couple of different KD sets in my trucks and use everything from Snap-on to Craftsman at work. The second heaviest wrenches I use regularly are mad by SK. Now I am not arguing that heavy is good. Sometimes it can be bad, like when you are working overhead with 1-1/4 inch wrench for extended periods, but when it counts, you can put the torque to them without the wrench breaking or biting into your fingers. There is just too much steel there to break in normal use. These wrenches are comfortable, heavy, heavy duty, well engineered, with the same flank drive plus features of other Snap-on wrenches, and shiny with a mirror polish and heavy coating of chrome. Okay my sets are made up of the high polish, ordered here on Amazon, satin finish, ordered through Amazon's main competitor, and Bahco, bought them at an ag supply, but they are all the same wrench and quite shiny. If you are looking for the most heavy duty combination wrench available, you will not go wrong with the Williams supercombos.
