I have had quite a few compliments on this king spread; we will keep this forever. Very comfortable, enduring and looks great all the time. It has been a perfect weight for year-round use. In winter we add a blanket(s) underneath. The sides drop and shape havn't shrank or changed when laundered. It is heavy when wet: I have to ask my husband to get it out of the washer and put in dryer. Well worth buying if you want this look.

I don't understand the comments that quality has degraded. I bought two of these spreads in 1998. I had to buy two more because my cat keeps pulling loops out of the hobnail bedspreads I had in that room. I don't see any difference at all. Suggestion: wash them in HOT water (ignore directions) and dry at medium temperature and they will get denser and better looking. (Bonus-- these are cat-proof.)

I purchased this in 2011 or 2012 but returned b/c the color didn't work well enough with my decor overall, although it's a beautiful shade of blue. But I later purchased one in cream and love it. Quality matelasse. Not flimsy like most. Wash and dries beautifully. Classic coverlet that will surely last a lifetime; and with either a white or cream all the change you'll ever need over the years is the bed skirt color/pattern.

I really like this bedspread. I don't like comforters. It is almost impossible to find a decent bedspread that isn't too short or small for a king bed. Or that isn't 50 different patterns on one comforter with 50 different colors. I don't know what the designers are thinking. I have a low profile king and the spread is plenty big. The fabric is soft and nice to the touch and a good color. My only complaint is the weight. It feels heavy when you try to move it.

I bought this bedspread about 6 years ago. My husband & I have never owned a better all season bedspread that goes with almost any style room. For years, I have bragged how nice it wore, washed & has lasted and new the initial investment was well worth it. So when I went to buy my guest bed in the house a quilt I figured I would take my older quilt to the basement bed & get a new one. I kept going back to the one I loved so much & although expensive, I figured it was worth it. NOT SO...The quilt looks the same, it is NOT the same quilt I bought 6 years ago. The weight and material is different & I am SO disappointed in the company for taking the quality out of this bedspread. I ended up bringing my old one back upstairs for the weight & material & left the new one in the basement. For this much $, had I known they cheapened this up, I would not have purchased it a 2nd time around.Nor can I recommend it to others based on the fact I am sure it will not last as long and the price did not go down when they cheapened the materials up.ROYAL HERITAGE NEEDS TO GO BACK TO THE CLASSICS & STOP MESSING WITH THE QUALITY OF THEIR PRODUCTS.

I had an older version of this in a off white color for 9 years. It was a coverlet and I got tired of the shams and bed skirts. I have a queen bed, but bought this as a full spread. I do not like the spread to drag on the floor on the sides and getting the smaller size covers all the mattress but leaves space for to vacuum under the bed. I have a footboard so there is still some drape at the foot corners which looks fine. The color is subtle but still lively. Not as bright as in the picture which is exactly what I wanted. I got a sample from the Williamsburg Marketplace first, but bought here since the price was much lower.

i was very disappointed with this bedspread. it is correct in size (i bought the king) but the fabric has been so overwashed or treated that it stretches out of shape when you make the bed. it has a thin feel to it and is difficult to place on the bed evenly. it is also a weird/yellowish grey color and looks dingy. don't waste money on it unless you want a very aged, vintaged/distressed look in your bedroom. i thought it would be better quality since it is one of the williamsburg reproduction products but it is not and i was stupid enough to pay 200 bucks for it!
