I thought it had a glossy finish but it is like a matte finish. It is ok but not what I thought from the picture.

My first thought was disappointment after finding the is made of plastic (PVC?) and my second thought was “why not?”. I am very pleased with this product, the graphics are excellent and it is rigid but flexible enough to follow the curve of the front of my 2001 Boxter using a plastic adaptive mounting plate. We’ll have to wait to see how well it holds up to the Florida sun.....

Great license plate! It is plastic but I was not bothered by it at all! The plate is exactly as pictured; the colors are vibrant, and shows off collegiate pride! This is exactly what we needed since moving to Lousiana which apparently does not require a (real) front license plate! Go gators!
