Screen on our sliding patio door had torn at the bottom, right along the spline. Not enough material to stretch and respline it, so we had a rip all along the bottom, which isn't good for bug defense, obviously. We got by part of the year with a quick duct tape repair, but that looked ugly. Saw this product, and thought it might work, at least try it.Took out the spline on the screen, then applied a strip of this sticky screen tape to the bottom to cover the rip/tear. Let it sit, pressed it a bit, for the glue to get good and "soaked" into the old/original screen, and then gently pulled/stretched the repair tape/screen down, and resplined it in place. It does the job. There's a bit of glue mark (kind of like a snail trail) where the tape pulls down, but it holds, and it covers the tear, and my screen is whole again. It's easy to use. For most repairs, I would recommend double sided taping over the hole, a patch on both sides and let the glue bond with the glue/tape on the other side for even more firmness, but I did not have that option here (three layers of screen would never spline into the runner.Need a quick fix? This will work.

This screen repair kit is great for making a quick repair on a damaged screen. It is a simple peel and stick. It doesn't make the prettiest repair, but it is great for when you need a temporary fix so you can put off replacing the screen till you can better afford the time and expense of doing so.This stuff is great if you have pets that are bad about scratching up your screens and you don't want to constantly have to replace your expensive screens.

When I ordered this screen repair kit, I didn't realize I had selected black instead of dark brown, which would have better matched my screens. Nevertheless, I decided to give it a try because I really needed to cover the hole in my screen to keep out the flying visitors, and I wasn't ready to buy a new screen yet. The repair worked as a quick fix, but you can definitely see the patch. The most noticeable part is the adhesive, which is quite sticky. There is also a slight color difference between the patch and the screen, but it's not as bad as I had expected. I believe the patch will hold, though I wish the adhesive weren't so thick. I'm hoping it dries a bit over time, but it hasn't dried yet.Overall, this product is a decent option for repairing a rip in your screen if you prefer patching it rather than replacing it. Since my screen is in the back bathroom, this temporary fix is acceptable for now. I might consider a more permanent repair if the patch bothers me over time. However, this is a good product that does the job at a great price!

We had a lightning strike a tree in our back yard. The tree broke off about 30 or so feet off the ground. That upper part fell towards our lanai (screened in porch area) and the branches poked 2 large holes in the screen (fortunately, it wasnโt more than that!). I cut out the torn parts of the screen to neaten it up, then took some replacement screen material and cut out a triangle and a square, then used this tape to patch those holes. The tape is surprisingly sticky when you adhere it to your screen material. Needless to say, I patched both holes with this tape without any issues. The glue is only on one side of the tape. Youโll need to peel off a thin clear film in order to expose the sticky side. Getting that film off wasnโt the easiest, but it does come up when I used my fingernail to get underneath it.This is a good temporary solution to patch your screen if you want to hold off on replacing ALL of your existing screen. It is quite obvious that thereโs a patch and the tape is on the edges because thereโs the original screen, the patch screen then this tape which also has a screen-like mesh on it. So 3 layers of screen will obviously be visible. Other than that, this tape works great!

We used this screen repair tape to fix a 2"x3" hole in the kitchen window screen. The bugs kept making their way in the hole so this repair tape was a great solution. It arrives exactly as pictured, a roll of tape inside a cellophane wrapper. It also has a clear strip of plastic you have to cut off the roll, then you can feel your way around to the beginning of the roll and unroll as needed. The sides of the roll are a bit sticky, much how duct tape is. It unrolls smoothly, and cuts with scissors easily. You then have to peel the clear film off the back of the tape to expose the sticky side then gently press it over your screen hole. It's very flexible and sticks well to existing screen, and if you aren't specifically looking for it the tape blends in well with the existing screen. Cheaper and easier than replacing a window screen to keep the bugs out. Easy to use, a fast and easy repair.
