Product Description

Small Batch, Artisan Coffee Roasters

We have a passion for roasting coffee. The process begins with finding the best, grade 1, single origin coffee beans. Then we test each new lot and develop a roasting profile for each imported coffee bean. This takes time, dedication, and above all, passion. Our Master Roasters created something that is truly original, worthy of the Cooper's Cask Coffee Company name.

What defines great coffee? Terms like gourmet coffee, artisan roasted coffee and small batch coffee roasters are heard a lot throughout the industry. The products we create here are not blended coffee beans you will find at any retail or franchised coffee shop.

Let's start with the positive: I love barrel aged coffees. And I really enjoyed THIS barrel aged coffee.I've never tried coffees aged in wine barrels. Given that I needed coffee right away, and knowing Amazon would deliver quickly, I figured "it wouldn't hurt to try" these wine barrel aged coffees. I’m glad I took that leap. This coffee was absolutely delicious. The aroma was amazing and the bold flavor was outstanding. And as someone who buys whole bean coffees regularly from coffee roasters, I could tell what I had purchased had not been on the shelf for long. The first box (and first purchase) was outstanding! So now the negative...For starters, this is not about the coffee and the company. This is about taking the good with the bad of purchasing certain items from Amazon. I ordered a second box of coffee from Amazon and could tell this box had been on the shelf for a while...like possibly up to a year. The coffee in that box was very lackluster. It tasted like tainted water. There was no aroma. No boldness. Nothing. The second purchase was the opposite of my first purchase.Unfortunately I am unable to return the box (I tried), otherwise I would have. Yes, it was that bad.Had I received the second box first, I would have given this a 2 star review...the stars were only because the items were delivered on time and with care. That the benefit of Amazon. Fast and sometimes within 2 hours of ordering. It's great actually. However the risk with ordering some things (not all) from Amazon is that the product ordered might be on the shelf for too long. Therefore you might receive items that should be deemed expired. This is not the first time I have had this experience. But again, when one wants fast delivery, one takes the good with the bad.In summary, the coffee(s) received 4 stars: my first purchase was 5 stars. Really my first purchase should be rated 10 stars. The second purchase was 2 stars...really it should be zero if I am basing it on the coffee alone. However, the 2 stars reflects the overall experience (excellent delivery plus terrible coffee).

I gave this to a friend who has everything and thought WOW she doesn't have this. I thought it was a great gift for a person who wants consumable items and it was different. At our age we don't need more stuff to store! Planning on giving to other (old) friends. LOL

I gave this as a gift and my giftee loved it. She was very intrigued by the coffee and couldn't wait to try it. I was able to try the Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay and I really liked them. I don't have a very refined palette, but I could definitely taste the flavor notes in each one. I was super impressed. I will definitely check out some of their other coffees.

There really is much to say, the coffee is very flavorful. I personally brew my coffee over ice, and the flavor is even more present in that context. Each flavor is definitely unique, and the bags are not as small as I thought. Would definitely recommend these to any coffee lover to at least try.

5/2/2019. UpdateThe company read my review and reached out to me. I just received from them some of their other coffees and I can actually smell the flavor through the bag. So excited to take these to my in-laws and try them again. Their customer service is amazing!Bought as a Christmas gift for my in-laws. We tried it together. It didn't even smell good. I paid a bunch of money for something unique....really disappointed.

I purchased this wine infussed coffee as a gift for friends who are big into wine. They immediatly ground and brewed us all a cup infussed with Cab. It was delicious! It smelled a bit of wine then followed by coffee and for those who are into wine, you will know that sometimes wine does come with flavors of coffee. It was the perfect gift. One I will give again.
