Wouldn't work on my Winchester rib . It fits a smaller one. Mine was 3/8" . It needed to be a wider groove. On the right shotgun it would work good.

I used this to mount an aim point on a shotgun run. The gun was not tapped for a scope. Seems like a secure mount and keeps aim point low on the barrel
