I have been riding this saddle for 6 months, about 4 times a week. I have a mare with a weight problem and needed the easy change gullet system. Compared to the older version Wintecs, the improvements are much softer panels that mold to the back, synthetic material that actually looks like leather, and soft knee flaps of the same material that look much better than the suede ones of the past. While the first time changing out a gullet was a wrestling match, I discovered that using the alignment tool, as shown in a video, to line up for the screws allowed the screws to be installed straight in and seated correctly. I've changed out the gullets 3 times now, and it takes less than 5 minutes with no struggle. Additionally, I'm impressed with the very tight, straight stitching, wider channel and general quality of this very affordable saddle that can also be re-flocked as needed. This saddle leaves no dry spots on my mare and her performance has improved greatly. I will soon order another in the other color as a back up for when I need a re-flock. One thing I didn't know is that one can change out the billets oneself if need be, another plus. Only con in a Wintec is punching holes in the billets as they are very far apart and a leather punch won't work. I used a drill.

I normally like the wintecs. I have been using them for my lesson program for 20 years. However, the 4 screws that hold these saddles together do not thread properly in the holes, are hard to get out, hard to realign and put back in, and the screws strip. Iām only using a Phillips head, not even a screw gun. The rest of the saddle seems good, but the easy change gullet system is not so easy any more. Please revaluate your use of these cheaper screws and holders, the originals were much better.

I have had one of these on a variety of horses, it never fit. I tried different models, different gullets, everything. The horses ended up with back pain, and dry spots. Along with that changing the gullet is very hard. Nobody wants them anymore. The only reason I give this a 2 is for being able to hose it off, however getting the dirty out of the little holes is very hard.
