3. Place a bucket under the fender pad to catch the spilled water
4. Pry open the sensor and replace it with a new one, and then install the plug and other things back

I personally plan on leaving my old sensor installed to the washer fluid reservoir its stuck inside. Then zip tie the new one to the full position somewhere. I hope this works. If this review is still up it works. Honestly who needs to be alerted to washer fluid lol

The part was a perfect OEM replacement for my Nissan Marano windshield washer reservoir level sensor. It is a difficult repair to infatuate as it is installed on a crazy angle that leaves very little room to maneuver, the old part out and the new part in. I had to remove the passenger side Front tire and inner fender will cover to access the windshield washer reservoir. And even then if you have fat fingers, this is a tough installation.
