I was a little surprised by how heavy the package was when this arrived. Suffice it to say this cable spool holder is heavy and strong enough to hold a LOT of weight.I used a 1 and 1/2 inch bar on it. It is held tightly in place by two bolts that screw down onto the bar.One end of the bar can stick out so you can take advantage of the wheels on the other bracket so you don't have to lift up a heavy roll of wire or what ever you have spooled on this. It will just truck around on the wheels when you lift up one end.The wheels roll well and are solid. I wish they were a little bigger so they could roll over gravel or rough surfaces but they work really well.All in all this may be one of the handier things I've acquired and I live how well built it is. It's a good deal at this price.

I work with 75-100lbs spools of wire fairly often and moving them around can be a challenge. This spool holder definitely helps make that job much easier. It is really simple to put together, just stick a tube in the holes and clamp it down. The tube diameter is way larger than anything I would ever need even with the bigger spools so it can accommodate all kinds of spools.Do note it does not come with a tube of any point. I had to knock a couple of stars off because the only place I can find that mentioned is in a photo in the listing - I normally read listings closely but don't go through every photo so missed that and expect others could as well. That should definitely be mentioned in the text. For the price I would definitely expect some kind of tube/rod to be included!But, if you are working with some big spools this will definitely make your life easier. If you are mostly working with small spools I would look for something smaller as this is a unit.
