This adapter is really small. Not much bigger than a quarter. It also worked flawlessly during my testing. It stayed connected to the phone and happily, did not disconnect when I drove over railroad tracks. Overall I liked it but like many wireless adapters, it prioritizes itself. For example, if you're listening to Sirius XM on your car radio, when the adapter connects, it will resume playing whatever you were listening to on Carplay or Android Auto instead of continuing playback of Sirius XM. Some people prefer that but to me it's an annoyance. You decide.Good adapter, compact size, good price. It's a yes for me.

Installed this on my 2015 Ford F-150 after upgrading to Sync 3. Setup was straightforward: plug it into the USB port, pair it once with my phone, and it's ready to auto-connect every time after that. It really does simplify the experience — no more messing around with cables every time I get in the truck.Pros:Connection is fast and stable once paired. Haven’t noticed any serious lag during calls, music, or navigation.Plug-and-play setup took less than five minutes.Works with both iPhone and Android (tested with iPhone 12 and Pixel 7 — both worked well).Reliable auto-reconnect every time I start the truck.Cons:It's bulkier than a few other wireless adapters I've seen. It sticks out from the USB port more than I'd like, especially in a setup like the F-150 where space is tighter around the center console.Initial connection takes a few extra seconds compared to a wired setup — not a dealbreaker, but worth noting if you're impatient.Overall:It does the job reliably and makes daily driving a little easier. If you’re short on space around your USB ports or prefer a more hidden look, this adapter might feel a little too big. Otherwise, it’s a solid mid-range option for going wireless without spending a fortune.

CarPlay & Android Auto Bluetooth and WIFI techMy Toyota Corolla has CarPlay build in, but is kind of a hybrid wireless and USB wired, the phone link is wireless and connects automatically to my iPhone 14 once paired to the car with CarPlay, but to use all the other apps like music or map I need to connect the phone to a dedicated USB port to the right of the car tray and that is been the way I use CarPlay until I found this little guy that provides wireless connectivity via an adapter that connects to the USB CarPlay dedicated USB port.Pairing phone and adapter is easy, just need to connect the adapter to the USB port and you will get a dialog box on you iPhone asking if you like to pair, if you need more help doing that the adapter comes with a small instruction’s booklet (have your eye glasses ready, small print)Once your iPhone and CarPlay wireless adapter is paired it will connect automatically next time your iPhone is with you when you turn on your car.I was happy with this CarPlay wireless adapter until someone was sitting on the passenger side and kind of touch/bump the adapter with their knee and CarPlay was lost immediately, in the beginning being always security paranoid I suspected someone trying to connect to my iPhone wifi and that I thought the reason disconnect it. It wasn’t that as I later doing a bit of trouble shooting found out the adapter losses connectivity just by a slice movement on the USB connector, and not it wasn’t the car port. I have a small USB extension and I used that to now connect the CarPlay wireless adapter that now sits inside the tray, humm well the adapter kept losing connection so a tape to secure the adapter to the USB female extension did the trick.Note:This CarPlay adapter uses Bluetooth to pair and once paired it switch to Wi-Fi so you’ll need to keep Wi-Fi turn on in your iPhone, I didn’t test if you can still connect to another Wi-Fi while using the adapter so this is an important side note.UPDATE [05/16/2025] Android Auto also works in the same Toyota Corolla 2021 Hybrid, using a Samsung S25 Ultra"gain a star" bump from 3 to 4Likes:Wireless CarPlay adapter definitely will game change your CarPlay connectivity, I know people not using their CarPlay just because of this reason. Newer cars come already with wireless.(*) Car Play and Android Auto both work in my Toyota Corolla 2021 - Car Play pairs with iPhone & Android Auto with (well) Android phones.Negative:Don’t know if this unit is defective, it loses connectivity with a slice movement of adapter and USB port, I fix that with a small tape (see pics)Don't know how secure is preventing others from connecting to your adapter.

Was easy to install. Usually it works fine, but it does not always connect and then have to unplug and plug back in. I will continue using the wired connection, which I have to, anyway, to charge my phone. I have used built-in wireless in rental cars and never had a problem - this is not as good.

This Wireless Adapter for Carplay is great! If you're like me and stuck with a car that requires you to physically plug in your phone to use CarPlay, this product is for you. It's incredibly easy to set up and compatible with so many devices. It has worked flawlessly since the day I started using it! I'd highly recommend this product, especially at the price point!

Works fine, simple to connect to start with. I am using the thing and I like it. I will say that part of the time when i get in the car, it doesn't connect and I have to pull the thing out of the USB port and put it back in. It always works if i have to do it but I do have to do it now and again. I mean it literally take s 5 seconds to pull it and plug it back in but I'd rather it just connect every time without needing my attention. I've had other ones that were far worse, so I feel like this is kind of a better one than most and it's the one I'm using all the time now so take that for what it's worth.

What more can you ask for, I was setup and listening to music with minutes. I replaced an older similar device with this one for the primary reason it doesn't have a cable, the unit plugs directly into the USB port. I found myself bumping the old one just enough to disconnect it (which needed a cable to go from the unit to the USB port), hence my upgrade to this one. This was super quick and convenient to setup. I am only testing with carplay, as I don't have any android devices. I wanted the compact design here since my port is in my console, under my radio. My initial impressions are great, including the fact it sounds better than my old one.Great product!
