Burnt the roast! This stupid thing doesn't work. I set the temp to 165 for my pork roast, should have been about 2 hours at most. After about 2.5 hours of the alarm not going off, I decided to check and the roast was severely overcooked, inedible. For S&Gs I decided to probe check it and it was over 200. I gave it a second try on some steaks on the grill and the temps were way off, luckily I can grill steak without an internal temp, but that was for testing. These went in the trash and won't be using again.

Absolute junk. Cooked a brisket and the probes in the meat were over 20 degrees apart so I tested them on boiling water. They should give 4 temperature readings all 212 degrees... Nope all 4 were different. Internal on probe 1 showed 221, ambient on probe 1 showed 192, internal on probe 2 showed 216, and it's ambient was over 230 degrees.

This is the new generation now of meat thermometers. This is a wireless meat thermometer that can also connect via phone but is not required. The receiver is charged via USB-C. It claimed to have 48 hours run time but I can't tell at this time if that is the receiver and/or the probe. The receiver also charges the probe and the probe has a certain way of position to mount it. The number must be facing you when you place them with the pointed part first and pressing the upper part down until it clicks. It charges within 30 min from empty and so far can work for at least 8 hours. Using the receiver, it only has a few options. It can indicate the current temperature and set a target temp for both probe, will alarm when done. Pretty much like a basic meat thermometer but without the wires. With the phone, it gives you more options like alarm sound, unit of measurements(F or C) types of meats and how well done it is. If you know your cooking temp, you should be ok without the phone but you need to be close to the receiver for the alarm. The probe is easy to use. Just make sure it is deep enough past the notch. If this is your first smart thermometer, it is twice as thick as your normal probe but I guess it is a needed design. It doesn't really make a difference since it is not that hard to place it. Only thing I realize is that for a smart thermometer, it does not check for oven temp. My other one has a another probe in the blunt side to check for outside temp and the app does the calculation and warning if the cooking temperature is above or below than normal. This only checks the meat and so far it has not given me any problem.Only issue I have is that the current price is $300 and seems very high compared to competition with 2 probes and others also has a way check ambient temp. Probably when this is on sale it could be a good buy.

Was always a needle and dial thermometer user, never understood how wireless ones could work and not fry the batteries. Tried this one and so far it is working well, temps seem to be accurate compared to my dial thermometer, quick to give me a reading much faster than the dial type when first probing the food. Storage case that they come in is very nice, has guides so you cannot insert them incorrectly into the case to be recharged. Display for the temps is easy to read and the holder will recharge the probes as well without being plugged in until the base needs recharged as well. Alerts you when the desired temp is reached, nothing at all to complain about, much nicer and easier to use compared to dial type thermometers.

does what it supposed to do.i like the fact that theres 2 thermometers that i can see what the meat is at at a glance.the other one that i have requires me to open my app. this is easier.compared it with another thermometer that i have (temp spike) and the 2 are almost the same temp.

It's an excellent tool for those who multitask and want to ensure their meat is cooked to perfection without constantly supervising it, giving you enough time to leave it and return when the alarm goes off, indicating the meat is ready.

At first blush looks like a great product. Happy to see a dual probe wireless thermometer at an affordable price. Repeater (base) is more robust than some others I've seen. Actually more metal than plastic. One pleasant surprise, it arrived with the batteries fully charged. Ready to go right out of the box. Used it right away to produce a perfectly cooked 14 pound spatchcocked turkey on the pellet grill. Probes are stainless steel. Very easy to clean and very accurate when checked against the thermo-pen. They re-charge quickly in the repeater. The app is pretty rudimentary but it's functional and user friendly. I believe the claim of 600 foot blue tooth range is a bit of a stretch. Especially if their are grill hoods or oven doors and walls in the mix. The app provides a loud audible alert if you stray out of range. WiFi connectivity would be a nice addition but not a deal breaker at this price point. After all, who goes to the mall or the movies while cooking a $100 brisket? Longevity will be the ultimate test. If it holds up over time, the big guys have a real competitor on their hands. I'll update the review after a few more cooks. For now, highly recommended!

This wireless meat thermometer operates over Bluetooth at a listed distance of up to 600ft! It comes with two rechargeable probes that have multiple sensor areas. Very easy to set up and use. Probes have really good battery life and are easy to charge. Can send alerts to help monitor temperature in real time. Very cool device that is a great value!
