On the Sony 7aiii, there is a "Network 3" screen that you also have to enable to get this remote to work. I was SO frustrated because it would not work until I saw another review suggesting this. Just passing it along!

So I connected the remote via Bluetooth to my Sony camera - all seemed good, but it didn’t control the camera. I found out there was a second screen that you needed to enable “Bluetooth remote” use. Once I enabled that second screen feature all worked great!

Works pretty good so far. Been in some spots where it wouldnt respond until i moved to another place but better than the last one i tried that would make my camera freeze for some reason.

Sometimes it works without an issue and sometimes it wont connect properly. I would not buy this product again just because of the hassle of connecting. When it does connect, it works like a charm.

I bought this mainly to be able to trigger slow motion shots on my Sony ZV-1 using high frame rate mode. Pressing the movie button on the camera itself jars the image for a moment and since high frame rate shots only last a couple of seconds, I wanted to trigger them without touching the camera. This remote worked great for that application and allowed me to hit my trigger point more accurately. I've also used it with normal video mode and manual focus and zoom functions. Both focus and zoom work well with the ZV-1 camera. Definitely a keeper!
