Unit is cheap, so that should be a giveaway to poor quality. Unit lasted two months.Receiver will no longer respond to either remote. Installed all new batteries, tried system reset and re-programming, nothing works.Buyer beware.

I mounted this inside a PVC electrical box so we could turn on our car's block heater without going outside. The remote control seems to work absolutely reliably over about 100 feet, and even still works behind a sheet steel shed.The screw terminals seem a little small to support 30 amps, but did fit my 12 awg stranded wire securely. Electrical use is less than 0.5 watts while idle, which is great.I notice the neutral line is not actually switched (it seems to always be bridged across the input and output sides), but it only switches the line / hot side.

I bought on of these remotes and it worked well so I bought a second. The first was used on a 1 1/2 HP Dust collection system. The second was used with a shop vacuum. They work reliably and don't conflicy with each other. the receiver is small so I was able to mount one inside the control box for my dust collection system.

I would have given this 6 stars, if not for one problem. The unit worked PERFECTLY. I received it and immediately hooked it up on the floor of the RV and WOW! A month later during installation, the problem arose. The unit worked FANTASTICALLY. I walked down the street (75 to 100 yards) and BINGO, the unit turns off and on. SOOOO, I start installation behind drawers (in a RV cabinet) where I am reaching to the extreme to attach it. Everything is hard (78 years old) when CRACK. I had tighten the screw and then was just going to hit it a little to be sure, AND THE TAB on the housing BROKE. Not a happy camper. Removed it and had to fashion my own mounting method. Got it up, connected and then started testing. OH MY GOSH!!! This is going to power outside lights on the RV when we return at night. I walked three neighbors away and the FOB still connected. HOLLY MACKEREL, I love it. JUST BE AWARE THAT THE HOUSING IS VERY DELICATE. I may order another after a month or so of use and will probably recommend it, JUST REMEMBER THE HOUSING IS DELICATE.
