I plugged it in and it didn't work. I ran the set up disk that had drivers on it and it didn't work. The fact that it comes with a disk tells me that it's not plug and play. I downloaded the newest drivers for the product and it didn't work. I looked up everything I could find on line and it didn't work. After I ran the set up disk it said that everything was downloaded and installed and it didn't work. I'm using win 10 and unless I'm missing something it should have worked right after I installed the drivers from the original disk that it came with. If this was shipped in the year 2025 their is no reason to not have plug and play and the disk it came with should have had at least adequate drivers for it to work. Unless this product sat in a warehouse for the last decade it should have worked and it does not. My computer does not have an intergraded Bluetooth, I use an external plug and play Bluetooth antenna. So when I plugged the new Bluetooth in, the only Bluetooth options my computer has is to use the plugged in one and its set of drivers. I do this with mice, keyboards, controllers, DVD players and anything and everything that plugs in externally to my computer.

Good connectivity & easy to use. It is about twice as fast as my older USB wi-fi. The mini cd with the drivers on it is useless to me since my dvd drive is mounted vertically, luckily it is not needed. The build quality is questionable since the case sprung apart when inserting the unit. The cover came off and the pc board came loose. Everything snapped back together and it is working.

Was pretty much plug and play for windows. The speeds weren't earth shattering, this is a Wifi FIVE adapter, not 6. I got it mostly for ad-hoc use on older laptops that have even older Wifi standards built it. This will level up their network performance nicely.I do have Mac computer and it seems to be recognized straight away without any driver install.On my Linux system (ubuntu 24.04), the adapter was also recognized right away without any driver install. lsusb shows the device as:Bus 003 Device 007: ID 0bda:b812 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL88x2bu [AC1200 Techkey]But keep in mind, this really is a USB 3 adapter. I tried a few systems with USB 2 ports and it was all bad. If you're buying this adapter, try and confirm that your USB port is at least 3.0. Most likely the port will be blue.

Works great ! Easy to set up and use… iI just plugged it in, and windows 10 found it right away and loade the drivers for it… pretty fast !

I know the product is advertised for Windows and MacOS compatibility but just wanted to give it a test with Linux, and... it's not really a good solution. There's hacky ways of getting this Realtek chip to work but they're muddy at best. Even then, in a Windows environment, it works alright enough, but the wireless throughput is somewhat lackluster. That combined with the crappy build quality makes me deduct one star, but I still think it's worth the admission price.
