I love mine! Only downside is that the green is a bit too bright, I DESPERATELY with they had this in camo :( Definitely recommend it. It's a great size, durable, and very versatile. The waterproofness has held up great so far. If the wind up making this in a camouflage color, I'll buy 20!

Every Function is Acceptable the Hammock use is the best the poncho is probably the worst due to size but I would definitely Recommend this

Needed a smaller packable hammock that can be a ground sheet in an emergency. Slept in this for a while works good and tougher then I thought

He is taking a walk cross country and needs to pack light. I can't wait to hear how it will be used on the journey.

I haven't had the chance to try all its functions yet, but I mostly wanted it for two anyway, and those I have checked out. I did try it as a poncho first and it was... fine. It was a bit big for it, but it does the job well. That said, that's probably not what I'd use it for except in necessity. My primary desire for it was as a hammock. I've had occasional mixed luck with hammocks, since i do a lot of endurance training, so my body is denser/heavier than it looks. I found two sturdy trees, set it up... and it handled my heavy self just fine. Actually, quite comfortable, too. So no matter what, I'd keep it for that.I did briefly try it as a tarp. The ground was damp, but everything stayed dry on top, so... success there, too.I didn't set up my tent, which is already waterproof, but I'd guess if it worked that way as a tarp, it would work the same as a cover, but can't officially say, since I didn't test it that way.All in all, nice product, and even one use makes it worth it, so I'm happy.

I love this. The fabric is totally waterproof, soft, and sturdy; this whole "kit" is so creatively designed and well made. From a length of waterproof fabric, I have a quick, strong emergency shelter; rain poncho; a sturdy hammock; or ground cover. Genius. It comes with nylon cord, GOOD metal tent stakes, two D ring carabiner clasps on nylon straps; and a roll of nylon strap.I used a tent stake as a needle to thread the carabiner/strap through each end to form the hammock ends for hanging....super easy and quick to put together. The hood of the poncho is rolled up into a small pocket, with three sturdy snaps on each side of the hood to keep me dry and comfortable in a storm...and if the wind is fierce, just clasp the two carabiners together at the bottom to keep the ends from flying open. There are nylon strap loops placed in multiple locations to be able to set up a quick shelter, tent, or shade. The carrying bag itself is part of the whole assembly. Easy to put away, lightweight and compact. Excellent quality!

So I have a few pieces of Wiseowl gear and I have always been very happy with it. It is great for the price I have never had a piece fail on me. This popped up and I was super excited. in my day pack I carry a Wise Owl hammock and my raincoat and I am a sucker for a multipurpose piece of gear. A hammock for a simple hang and a ponco, perfect. using it as a tarp is convenient but one piece and I'm prepared rain or shine. Unfortunately, it gets so close and trips at the end.1) As a hammock, no complaints it is comfortable and is the perfect relaxing day hammock.2) As a ponco it... works, if you are not moving. there are 3 buttons to snap it down the front and they just aren't enough. if there were 5 it would probably fix the problem. I am 5' 10" (178cm) and the snaps go like right to the bottom of my chest, standing still is not really a problem but if the wind blows the front flips open and you get wet from the waist down. Same for if you are walking. if it had a few more snaps that would probably fix it. I have some snaps I can add and I am going to try and fix it. I will report back if that works. It does keep you dry though so no complaints.3) all the extra stuff. The stakes and the guy lines all come stuffed into the sack but if you are trying to use the hammock it is just stuff that is in the way, and if you want to use the poncho you need to pull out the continuous loops so you now have stakes, straps, carabiners, guy lines, and loops that you have nowhere to put them. I wish there was a larger separate bag to put all that stuff in.4) converting is a pain. From hammock to poncho isn't terrible but you pull out the loops and then you have to go through the process of feeding them back through which is annoying enough that I debate whether I want to go through the hassle or not. Same for using it as a tarp. The only way I think you could solve it would be to have a really long Dogbone loop in the gathered end so you could take it through pull it and the dogbone would be in there and pulling it back into the gathered end would be simple and you wouldn't have the loops floating around. I want to see if I can get a set of the amsteel dogbone loops that are long enough to do that. they are only a few bucks and would make this conversion worth it.So is it worth it... almost. if you like to carry around a hammock but like the just-in-case option for a tarp/shade then sure. I am not unhappy with it. I will just be trying to tweak it more, I just wich it came that way.
