I have to give both and Amazon and Wystira Editions, in sending putt my items I purchased!!! I LOVE the colors a and the quick delivery too!!! I never used weaved or knitted so, this will be my first in using this type of textured item and a brand new Ashford Rigid Heddle weaving loom too!!! Wish me luck!!!

Yes, I admit it is pricey and one can easily find less expensive wool roving. However, these sample packs are perfect for beginners. Whether one is felting or learning to spin on a drop spindle sample packs are the best way to go. Not too much wool to get tangled up and if one decides that their new hobby isn't for them, not too much expense has been invested into it.This is wonderful wool. Beautiful Autumn colors (my favorites) and very easy to work with. Would recommend.

The colors are luscious and even, and the fiber is smooth (but with plenty of grip) and flossy. I've already made several cute items for my nature table...the quantity provided is ample for a number of small projects. I will look for and buy other color collections.Added June 8, 2014:Many of the one and two star reviews appear to be from people who thought they were buying crochet thread, or the type of roving that you use to stuff pillows or dolls. The product is intended for use in making needle or wet-felted objects, and since it is fine, it's mostly meant to be used for finishing touches, or as an outermost layer of a project. The quantity provided is appropriate for this kind of use, and in fact is a lot - I still have plenty of it left after 1.5 years, and I've made a number of projects using the colors from this set already. The price is pretty typical for fine wool roving.

I gave these to my sister for Christmas, along with a drop spindle. They worked well for a quick introduction to spinning, but they're just so small, she was out of wool before Christmas day was over. The colors are beautiful - there's just not enough to do much with them.

This wool is wonderfully soft! There are 8 pieces of roving, each 12 inches long. When unrolled, each piece is 12-inches long, and approximately 1 1/2 to 2 inches wide by 3/4 inch thick. The colors are lima bean, olive, pumpkin, marigold, camel, nutmeg, copper, and chocolate. I couldn't ask for truer, more beautiful colors! It is packaged in a clear, resealable, labeled bag that is about 6 x 11". Highly recommend, and intend to order more from this company.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend's grandmother's boyfriend,he really loves crocheting. It arrived right on time, and although they're smaller than I imagined, the colors are very rich and the material looks nice and soft. The only reason I assumed they were bigger is because the picture posted to the product kinda makes it look like so. However, they're just as the description says, and I'm sure he'll love it. Great job. :)

Bought my daughter a bunch of wool, needles, and a book for Christmas. She absolutely loved it. We had to buy a little pink wool from Michaels to finish a particular project and the quality of this wool from Amazon was so much better than what we got from Michael's. You can't go wrong with this wool for felting projects.
