I wanted a german metronome. I was planning on purchasing this brand but in a more traditional shape, but when I saw him I couldn't resist. This is a very heavy metronome, easy to adjust, and it keeps time very consistently. I know that electronic metronomes are less expensive, I am not sure it is worth it. Everything in our lives has an electronic option and while there are benefits to those options; when it comes to music I don't think we should sell out. Playing your electric keyboard with a digital metronome pinging away will never have the same depth as sitting down to a piano and letting your Wittner Owl's steady click guide you through your music. This is a fine metronome that will last through many generations of piano students, invest in it.

This is an awesome metronome made in Frankfurt, Germany. The only complain is that it is made of solid plastic, not solid wood. Other than that, this is a solid good high quality equipment. My 6 year old pianist loves it, it is a great motivation for her to play piano with her "William the Owl Metronome" as she names it.
