These connectors get hot. There is no way this is going to handle 30 amps safely. I opened one up and now I know why. There is a 20awg solid aluminum wire between the two connector ends which could only handle 10amps at best. But because the wire is not crimped correctly to the connectors, you are going to get far less than ten amps. That is why these connectors heat up.

I tried using these on a 12 volt trolling motor,in just a few minutes it got so hot it started to melt. Also acted like a resister and wouldn't let enough voltage through. I can't use them.

These are quality made and is exactly what I needed to reverse the polarity on my SAE connectors for a project I created. This will save me from blowing many fuses when accidentally connecting the leads to the incorrect side.
