Not sure how the oval works as far as getting ride of knee pain, but it does. I feel like it allows me to climb more efficiently.

Great ring but sheesh it’s expensive. Tough to believe how much they get for a little piece of metal these days. 5 stars but for price

I previously had a 32T round ring, went down to this 30T oval and my goodness what a difference. I feel like I'm riding a 1x12 while having a 1x11. I was able to climb technical things that I previously almost couldnt. The power output felt so consistent and my legs didnt feel the same fatigue as with a round ring.100% would recommend, cant believe I've waited as long as I have to make this upgrade. Plus I didnt even have to change my chain since at the widest point the 30T oval ring expands to the width of a 32T round ring.Edit: Im a month into owning this ring, a dozen rides since installation. The only issue I have with this ring and its user related is that its a bit tougher to feel out the correct gears. Say for example if I'm beginning a climb or descent, because a round ring has much wider range of tension, you could feel what gear you should or shouldnt be in pretty quickly. With this because of its ovality, its a very specific and narrow spot so I am making some mistakes when gearing. Is it ruining the ride? Absolutely not, its a tad annoying but its an issue of getting used to that spot is all.Just thought it would be an interesting observation to share.

the elliptical does give a bit more power, but it's a small difference, but the chain ring is great! I'm not worried about dropping a chain anytime soon.
