I have been looking at slim wallets for a little while and I have had mixed results with what I have found. Wolverine is a decent name in work-wear so I thought this wallet would be a good choice. So far it has proven me right.This is a minimalist wallet in the strictest sense, and that’s not a bad thing. The whole thing has 4 card slots and a pocket for cash and additional cards. It’s made of heavy canvas and it is resistant to scuffs and cuts. It’s smaller that the wallets that have two plates held together with elastic, and it fits in my pocket a lot better with less bulk.The RFID protection seems to work, though it does not work at all with the badge readers at work. It has taken me a while to realize that the readers in the office don’t work on the same frequency range as credit and bank cards. It was worth trying as some wallets work on wider ranges; this one does not. To have done so would have been a bonus.I’m happy with this wallet and expect to get good use out of it. It’s a solid workhorse and seems to be made well.

The basic design of this card wallet appeals to front-pocket users, and there aren't any surprises to be found here; Herschel has many fabric patterns in this form factor, which have been popular for years. There are 6 card slots - 3 on each side - and a pocket for folded cash in the middle. The canvas is robust and seems like it would hold up for a while. It seems best to have at least one card on each side to provide a spring action to keep the cash pocket more tightly closed. It's not the thinnest implementation on the market. I don't have a Herschel, but I have an Alpaka wallet of similar design made of X-pac that is thinner and lighter. It's not likely to make a whole lot of difference in your pocket, but some prioritize thinness.
