Item is very tight fitting unlike in picture. When washed it shrank so much it became very tight and uncomfortable. I have serious doubts it's made of silk and cashmere.

I got the grey gaiter a few years ago and have since purchased two more - the black and the brick red which is a mauve color. I am back again purchasing a grey one for my mother. We both prefer bundling up inside in the winter rather than turning up the thermostat so thought she would like one too. I also wear mine outdoors on our daily walks. It not only keeps my neck warm but also keeps the collar of my jackets and coats from getting soiled. It’s light but warm, fabric is soft and well made. Label says 90% silk and 10% cashmere. If the label is removed, one cannot tell which is the inside or outside since there are no open seams. I have several other gaiters made of different fabrics and made by different manufacturers but this is my favorite because of the shape. As shown by the model, the gaiter is smaller on the top and tapers outward at the bottom so it gently spreads out and rests on the shoulders providing additional coverage around the neck/shoulder if the neck opening of one’s garment is too wide or low. All my other gaiters go straight up and down like a tube so it all bunches at the bottom of my neck. As the other reviewer noted, for laundering, instead of washing by hand according to the instructions, I place mine in a lingerie bag, wash in cold water on the gentle cycle and hang to dry. It comes out looking like new. Highly recommend this gaiter. I wanted to add that when I first tried on my first grey gaiter, it was snug going over my head so I thought it was too small, but after wearing it, it stretched out a little bit so it was not an issue for me.

This neck scarf is not silk or cashmere. It has a strong chemical smell. if you retune the product, you have to pay expensive shipping fee back to China, totally doesn't make financial sense, so you end up got stuck with useless product. So don't buy from this seller.

There is NO silk or cashmere in this product. Very expensive to return to China, so you'll be stuck with it. Very itchy, too. I threw it away.

Purchased this silk neck gaiter a few months ago. It's actually 90% silk and 10% cashmere. I'm very pleased. Soft and drapey, warm and cozy, no pilling at all like with the synthetics and also no bad odor like in the synthetics. Very high quality fabric and nicely sewn. Washed in the cool/gentle cycle and air dry. No wrinkles or pilling. I will be purchasing more in different colors. I got the grey. Not too dark, not too light. The color of pewter. I highly recommend. Especially if you are sensitive to synthetic fibers. Do be prepared that it takes a few weeks to get to the US. Coming from the maker, not from Amazon. Can't honestly remember if it came from China or Japan, but it's a very high quality piece of clothing.
