The socks appeared to be exactly what I was looking for, until I opened the bag they were shipped in and the full smell of the sock material filled my house! The shipment arrived on Tuesday, April 29th and I became very ill with an upper respiratory infection on Wednesday, the next day. I washed the socks one time and no difference in the smell. We had friends visit on Sunday and one of them asked, "What is that smell?" Here it is now Monday and it just occurred to me that perhaps the odor from the socks was making me ill, so I threw the socks out on the porch to get them out of the house. Already my throat no longer is painful and my nose has stopped running. I have ordered many times socks and have had very good experiences with bamboo socks but these are the worst bamboo socks! Watch out for these!

Very soft, come out of the dryer perfect. The elastic on the top: I pull them down a little since they aresnug.

I got the beige to wear with mt dressy summer shoes. They are light weight, but, not see through like hose. I think they will be cooler, too. They fit my big feet and are soft and comfortable.

These bamboo dress socks have a super soft and silky feel. Although I appreciate how soft they are, at times they can make my foot slip around in my shoe. The 9-12 size may be slightly big for a size nine foot and I would recommend ordering a size down for that size. The navy blue is a good shade to match dark blue pants or jeans. The elasticized wide band around the calf is comfortable and keeps the socks from slouching down. They launder nicely, and although it is suggested that they be air dried, I have put them in the dryer, and so far, they are fine. Getting four pairs at the current offered price ($13-$15) is a good value.
