I’m a home cook who likes to wear chef coats in the kitchen because I find they provide better protection for my clothing than aprons do. I’m quite pleased with this chef coat. It is well-made of a sturdy cotton-polyester blend fabric. It is styled to taper significantly at the torso, giving a feminine silhouette. Although I’m about 5’5”, 115 lbs and typically take size small in tops, I ordered this coat in size large because I’ll be wearing it during cool weather over a sweatshirt or sweater. I’m glad I went up two sizes. With other layers underneath, the coat fits my torso properly in size large. Due to the form-fitting styling, I think size medium would have been rather snug on me even without bulky garments underneath. Going up two sizes resulted in sleeves that are much too long, though, but that problem is solved by turning under the cuffs. The coat will be easy to care for. It can be machine washed and tumble-dried.
