Not what I thought did not like the material

First of all- I am just not someone who looks good in suits. I have always hated wearing them because they look ridiculous on me. I have never once looked good in a suit in my life. I’m not exactly sure why but I think it’s because I’m only 5’4, 118 pounds and suits just tend to swallow me. They aren’t fitted on me and they don’t look sleek or flattering. I always look like a little kid playing dress-up. Or I look like a man in a suit- like a female FBI agent. I’ve tried a variety of different suit cuts and styles over the years to no avail. I also don’t really look that great in black or grey because they both tend to look harsh on me. Unfortunately there are many different business situations and job interviews where I have to wear a suit- I’ve been searching for a good one for years at this point, since I graduated from college and first started interviewing, in fact.I ordered this suit because it looked a bit more stylish and feminine than a lot of suits out there. I received it and didn’t think it would be that great right out of the bag because it is made of a sleek fabric that feels like a bit of a slick polyester blend. However- even if it feels like a polyester blend, it isn’t that cheap THIN polyester. And it isn’t SHINY. Those are the two dealbreakers when it comes to suit fabrics. This one is actually a thick material which is great because it tends to hide flaws and it also seems to lay better and be more flattering on. Which brings me to my next point- this is the MOST flattering suit I have ever tried on in my entire life! The material is a poly blend but that’s actually better for me because it stretches and lays right- and it doesn’t have that “stiffness” that a lot of suit material has. I think the stiffness of a lot of suits is what makes them look more boxy and masculine- they don’t work with your figure, they fight against it.I also love the feminine details of this suit including the skirt which is flattering but long enough to be professional without being that gross old lady midi length of some work skirts. The suit jacket is the MVP though. It has a remarkable crossover cut, two rows of buttons, a sleek collar that doesn’t look like a man’s suit, and a double hem at the bottom. It also has a slit in the sleeves which made them have a slight flare, which I liked. It probably also makes it easier to type or write something or just to use your hands in general at work. I would highly recommend this suit for the flattering style alone.Note: in my photos I wore the skirt with the slit in the back. I didn’t realize it is supposed to be worn in the front, according to the listing photos. I didn’t notice that it looked weird at all when I was wearing it- but you can be the judge of that. I think if you want to be more conservatively dressed at work, you could wear the slit in the back, but if you want to be more stylish, you could wear the slit in the front. It is nice to have both options! It is also nice to know that had I worn the skirt the way it was intended, it may have looked even better. I’m going to try it on with the slit in the front and see which way I prefer to wear it. I always thought that work suits are not supposed to show too much leg and are supposed to fall below the knee as a rule of thumb, so I would not have thought to wear the slit in the front.Either way- this is a phenomenal flattering suit and I’m so glad I can finally say I found one that works for me. Highly recommended- 5 stars!

Nice fitting suit. It’s true to size and is stylish. I wish the fabric were of a better quality but it is worth the price overall.

This is a great 2-piece outfit for wearing to any professional affair or environment. It fit true to size. It is comfortable and it is great value for your money. The functionality of the suit is excellent and it can be worn by older teens, college students and women of all ages for all business affairs, and professional engagements.
