Daughter loves these. The fabric is kind of weird, reminds me of the weave of polyester/cotton dress pants from the 80's but it doesn't bug my daughter who prefers softer fabrics. Descriptions says not to iron, likely because they'd scorch/melt. My daughter is 5'3" and has a waist of 33". I ordered her the XL, even though the size chart would indicate a 3XL. I didn't want it falling off and they have plenty of stretch for her to be comfortable in them. They also reach down to her knees. Only did 4 stars because of the type of material.

I have a teenager, and they liked the style (and needed some shorts for summer camp. I wasn't too excited about all the extra hardware (chains and such) but I was told they are fun fashion and not to "get my nose out of joint" about that. This from the person who will someday pick out my nursing home. I was told the legs were a bit baggier than they were expecting and the waist was a bit tighter than they were expecting (I ordered large and they have a ~34" waist). If we'd ordered the 4x as suggested by the size chart they would have been wildly oversized. Size issues aside, they are actually quite pleased with the shorts and other than my wife complaining about the chains during laundry (they are removable) we've been pretty happy with them.
