When it arrived it had a very strong odor, somewhere between talcum powder and an air freshener. I made the mistake of burying it at the bottom of the laundry pile until I did a wash, and the smell permeated everything in the pile. I used extra baking soda, but it still reeked after the first wash. I dried it in the dryer and that didn't help. (And the odor permeated everything else that was in the dryer.) So I put it in a bowl and covered it in baking soda and let it sit overnight. No change. I added water and more baking soda, so it was covered in a baking soda paste. Then I threw it into the next load of laundry and it still smelled strongly. I decided to hang it outside and left it overnight, where it was rained on. That actually seemed to help. I put it in the next load of laundry the next day, and the smell finally receded. It still has a faint scent, but I trust that will go away. I line dried it.I'm giving it two stars rather than one since now that I've finally vanquished the scent, I can wear it. I found the fabric to be a bit stiff, but drying on the line may have contributed to that. I like that it has the back buckle so I could cinch it a little tighter. And I like the low neckline so my necklace has some room.

Size LG. It was ample enough to fit my chest. I found the vest a little on the short side. It would look a lot better a little longer. The fabric is comfortable. I think I might end up wearing this with skirts.

I usually wear size small in tops. Unfortunately, this vest is too large for me. Measuring across the front chest area is 18.25” for a bust measure of 36.5”. The size chart says 36.22”, and I think that is pretty darn close. The whole thing is just too wide for me, so I wish I could have gotten it in size xs, but that size wasn’t offered, and I was hopeful that the size small would fit me, but I was wrong.It seems of good quality, with neatly finished inner seams and a flattering cut. I got the darker color blue called “deepblue”, and the color is as expected. It has a prewashed, faded look.

I sized up for a more relaxed fit and I really wish I had not. I think I would have liked the size of the small much better on me. Sizing up created for a lot of extra material under my arm pits. Other than my misfortune of sizing. I really like the material and color of this vest and it can be so versatile
