had troubles opening up wise enough to hook the springs up might need to tweak this tool so it works a little better i ended up using an older tool maybe better on a different size of brake lining

This tool makes installing semi brake number 7 springs a breeze. Will not work with number 9 brakes and will only work with the springs that have a hook on both ends.. if u work on trucks and do bake jobs u need this tool... Saves tons of time. Easy spring install with brakes that have the brake plate covers

I’ve used these for one day. As a diesel mechanic we have 3 of the original LT890 tools that still work flawlessly after 100+ brake jobs. This tool is much harder to get the springs off of the shoes. After only two sets of rear brakes the metal is already deformed. It’s definitely lower quality metal and isn’t worth the effort it takes to try to force them around the springs. Not easy to use, not good value for the money.
