The half inch holes in the wooden beads were too small so I had to bore larger holes. The hole in these half inch dowel caps are too large so I’m having to glue. I feel like Goldilocks.

We used these to build a first communion banner for our daughter, they fit well and remained in tact when glued with tacky glue.

I'm using these as 'end caps' on 3/8 threaded rod.

Found these round wooden balls with quarter inch holes, aka dowel caps, to be as described, good quality, no surprises, no snags or rough spots on them. Also, bores of holes were not rough, were consistent in drilling size. As these were to be used in a project for children, especially glad for the quality.

I quilt a lot of wall hangings throughout the year and was looking for the best way to hang them. I picked up some 1/2" by 30" dowel rod to go through the hanging tabs (I use battery operated lights to add sparkle and needed something strong to carry the weight of the battery pack). They worked, but looked unfinished. I then found these end caps and voila! - the perfect finish. Every recipient loved their wall hanging, and loved the rods with end caps. I'm buying a bunch more for 2019!

I used these to cap off 3/8" diam metal shafts. Hole size was good slide fit for epoxy joint. [Note: A 3/8" diam shaft with a flat end can be inserted ~3/8" deep into the hole.] Hole properly centered, with chamfered rim. Uniform grain wood. Well-finished. No splinters or gouges. Mostly smooth sanded. One star off because of slightly rough region on top of cap opposite hole (due to manufacturing process ... all units were like this).[ETA: Caveat. My original title was "Good quality for the price". The "for the price" turned out to be wrong. I've purchased several bundles of Woodpeckers dowel rods through Amazon before. Amazon price was roughly the same as the price direct from Woodpeckers. Total cost through Amazon was a lot less because of considerable savings on shipping. I mistakenly assumed this would be true for all Woodpeckers products. But I was wrong; I should have checked this item more carefully. Direct from Woodpeckers, price for 12 caps is only $3; though shipping would be an added $9.]
