I installed this in my home recently and have enjoyed using it, my only complaint is that the provided drywall anchors do not work well at all, I ended up having to use some screws and put new holes in the board to attach it to a stud. Since doing that though it's been solid and I'm happy with it

I got this for my husband to work off some of that pregnancy weight. Lol. I swear he gains about as much weight as I do when I get pregnant. he put it up, did a few reps then went and grabbed some olive oil rub the whole thing down. I don’t know if he did the right thing? But he is a carpenter. So id venture he’s probably right.

I got one of each style of these for my teenage twin boys who are both into climbing. Both fingerboards feature nice smooth wood that will ensure nobody gets splinters when doing climbing training. The anchor points are solid and well placed, and having the two different fingerboards provides some variation for strength work. But, either one by Perlaw would be a good choice at a reasonable price point. Be sure to hang in a secure location, aligned with beams or headers.

I'm a believer that grip strength can help a lot of sports and activities and I'm always looking for different ways to strengthen and challenge myself. This climbing fingerboard offers a range of different difficulties depending on the size and depth of the holes used which I like, especially when starting off somewhat new to this. The reason for the one less star was that there are some spots on the board that I'll need to re-sand to make them smoother and prevent any potential splintering. I'll also probably seal the wood as additional insurance against tear out. At 225lbs I want to ensure the board remains safe for myself and others to use.

Exactly what my son needed. It came with everything needed to install and I felt it was good quality. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was I hit it with some sandpaper then gave it a clear coat, was definitely rough lumber. Other then that, no problems!

It is well constructed. It's unfinished wood, which is good, because that is the best material for keeping the harm to your skin to a minimum. It is essentially a beastmaker 2000 copy, so has all the holds you would expect from that. The main downside is that although the middle row of holds has nicely filleted edges, the bottom row is not filleted. The edges are sharp, and hanging on this with even just your bodyweight would be quite painful. So, it needs some hand sanding to fillet that bottom row. Luckily this is very possible because it's a soft unfinished wood, but it should come filleted from the factory. The low price makes it attractive, and if you're willing to do a bit of sanding, I think it's a good choice to save some money over the typical brand names.

From opening the box to having it installed on the wall took a grand total of 10 minutes. I was only able to sink two of the nails into a stud, but the board still felt sturdy, especially with the drywall anchors. I read other reviews mentioning the need to stain or oil the wood, but the wood seemed quite finished. It was sanded down and smooth with only one tiny rough spot that might have been just a fluke. One thing I want to point out is that this board is not for beginners. I'm relatively fit and have done bouldering for the past year and still most of the hold where too tough.
