I use these to assist feeding material through my sewing machine, works great when handling seams etc. that require some finesse. I also use to make holes to insert line 24 snap studs in marine material instead of using a hole cutter.

The size is great, fits well in my hand. I use my awl primarily for crafting. For weeding cutting dies, for holding things in place, for aide in glueing things in place. Also use it when crocheting especially with patterns that require preparation.
